My Husband is a farm equipment mechanic, I am support staff for a young woman with Down Syndrome. We have also had a small beef farm, which we recently sold off our stock to be able to spend more time fishing! We are both hunters as well. I enjoy papercrafting, sewing and gardening.
My husband is an excellent farm mechanic. He is an expert on hay balers, and any heavy equipment, and is in demand all over NY and Vermont. Really, he can fix anything with a motor! As for myself, I have years of experience working with elderly folks with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. For the past 10 years I have worked with children and young adults with special needs.
We have 3 small dogs, Teddy a Pom mix and Sisters Mini and Sugar who are Maltese. All are spoiled brats! They camp with us, having their own large enclosure. At home they have a big fenced yard.
As yet we have not done any traveling. Upon retirement, we will sell our home and hit the road! We will spend summers at our camp in the Adirondacks. Winters we will head to the Southwest.
Hubby is originally from Montreal Canada, grew up in Vermont. I grew up on Lake Champlain in New York State. We currently live in Churubusco NY, and have a summer cabin in Mountain View NY in the Adirondack Mountains.
We own a 2015 Keystone Hideout . 2 slides. 2017 Chevy Silverado
What can we say about H&B that hasn’t already been said. Anytime there is a house rule that you have to come hungry, you know you’re dealing with quality people. We really enjoyed getting to know our new friends and we hope to run into them on the road. They are as nice as they come, and if you’re in their neck of the woods, you’d be crazy not to stop by and get to know them.
After a long day of traveling we found our way down a quiet country road and were treated to an incredibly warm and friendly welcome from Becky, Herb and the 4 legged trio. Their place is spacious and private with plenty of space to maneuver and a level spot for the night. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and very pleasant conversation well into the evening exchanging travel adventures and life experiences. We parted ways having made 2 more boondocker friends. We very much hope to meet again down the road someday.
Thanks for a Fantastic visit.

We stayed with this lovely couple for 2 nights in late July, and can't say enough good things about them. Super welcoming people who were quite generous with their food, time, and conversation! We especially enjoyed the steady cool breeze blowing through our Airstream, the quiet open space, and the excellent star-gazing. We were able to hop into Canada for an afternoon AND make it down into the Adirondacks on the same day. If you are up this way, I highly recommend staying here!
Spent a night with Blrees after a fun crossing of the border a story that has gone down in my blog. They made us feel very welcome and in no doubt as to their views on the current president. Loved hearing the story of their house build and future plans. Can recommend as hosts and are now friends on FB. A and A
Stayed one night and very much enjoyed our host's company. Nice level spot in a quiet location. Highly recommend this location and hope we can reciprocate some time soon.
Herb and Becky were great friendly hosts and nice to talk to. Good sunrise views through the windmills too. Thanks!
What great hosts! Quiet location in the middle of a wind farm. Never was so close to those big wind machines. Becky and Herb even had a great dinner waiting when we arrived.
