My home base is Victoria, BC, however, I become a "full-timer" in July, 2018 and I am now undertaking a 2 year trip from West to East and then back from East to West …. I hope to see as much of both USA and Canada as I can, but still maintain a slow, leisurely pace so that I don't burn out and want to return home.
UPDATE: March 2020 .... My two years is coming to an end and am heading west after spending 5 months in Florida. So ... starting on the 20th I will head west to Yuma and then north to Waterton Park and across into Canada by the 20 of April ... will head "home" to Victoria and will spend a few days/weeks/months? until I get the urge to head off again ... will most likely stay on Vancouver Island until the fall and then spend a month or so heading south most likely to Yuma .... and then I will become the typical "snowbird" - six months in Canada - six months in the USA ...
HAPPY TRAVELS .....
Can help others plan a trip to Canada, in particular British Columbia, and my home area Vancouver Island.
I travel with a 12-year old Beagle/Rat Terrier cross dog who enjoys RVing as much as I do. She was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease two years and take a chemo pill every morning …. since starting treatment she is like a new puppy …. she literally "hops and skips" with a smile on her face.
UPDATE: March 2020 ..... Chicklet is still as frisky as ever and it is now over three years since diagnosis and she is turning 14 .... she now takes an additional liver supplement but with the two pills daily she is doing great.

Even though we couldn't interact much due to Covid, it did not take long to learn that JenLeigh is a wonderful guest. I enjoyed having her & her pup here overnight. My pups were happy to have a new friend!
JenLeigh is a delightful person with a wealth of knowledge about her travels far and wide around this continent. Wish we could have spent more time with her and her little dog, but this nasty corona virus kept us farther apart than expected.
Jen was a courteous and friendly guest. We loved her well behaved pup. Welcome to return to our place anytime.
With a nice little dog. Only stayed one night before catching the Ferry.
