My husband Mark and I have recently retired, sold the house and bought a beautiful 32' Newmar Bay Star motorhome. We’re full timers, meaning that this rig, named “Mr. Bond" because of the 007 on our license plate--is our full time home. Our MO has always been “Go forward because it’s never too late”. I’m originally from Montreal, Canada (my mother tongue is French); my husband Mark is English, moved to Canada where we met. In 2004 we sold everything and moved from Toronto to Seattle, WA where we have been until recently.
And so the adventure continues...
Mark is a DIY kind of guy - comes from his structural engineering background.
I’m into languages. I speak and write English & French fluently with a sprinkle of Spanish.
Nope. Not yet. We love big dogs and we’re still trying to figure out how a Golden Retriever ( for instance) would fit in! Until then, it’s only us two.
We’re just starting, so we haven’t had time for favorites yet.
Per above, I’m from Montreal - moved to Toronto in my twenties and lived there until we immigrated to the US in 2004. We now proudly hold dual citizenships (Canadian and American).
2019 Newmar Bay Star motorhome, we call it Mr. Bond because of the 007 numbers on our license plates. 2019 Kia Soul, budget conscious car... we call her Moneypenny.
We had a great time drinking craft beer that they brought and talking about travels around the country and North America. Hope to meet up with them again, maybe in Mexico, someday!
Enjoyed hosting this unique couple. Enjoyed hearing about their past and what they plan on doing in the future! It is amazing how after such a short time, we feel like we have known them for a long time. We hope to meet up with this couple again in 2020 in Quartzsite. They are welcome to come visit us anytime! P.S. the chocolate is wonderful!
Lovely couple! We hosted them twice and both times we thoroughly enjoyed them and will definitely stay in touch with them.
We had a nice chat with this couple who were trying out their first Boondocking experience. They were very friendly to our dogs and put up with their attention. ;) Would not hesitate to host again.
