Full-time writer and marketing consultant launched full time in September, 2018 with my 20-foot travel trailer, with no prior RVing experience. After a year, switched to a 23-ft. TT and a larger tow vehicle, a 2000 Toyota Tundra. Still trying to find my rhythm in this new and very different life! I’m a confirmed snowbird, escaping northern winters because they've just become too hard on my knees. I currently return home to southeastern PA in the summer, but that may change according to weather and other factors. Hoping to find some adventure and inspiration on the road, as I work on my first novel, “Lonely Cottage Road.” Also using these experiences as grist for two more books -- one a how-to for solo women fulltimers, the other a personal memoir, kinda my version of "Eat, Pray, Love."
I'm an avid metal detectorist, so if you feel like granting me permission to hunt your property (I leave it in as good as or better condition than I found it, promise!), I would be forever grateful. But no pressure. :)
I teach creative and business writing, small business marketing, drawing and watercolor painting, and metal detecting. My guidebook on the latter has been the bestselling QuickStart guide for beginners on Amazon since Nov. 2017.
I am also quite handy and can help with painting, minor repairs, building, insulating, electrical and a little plumbing, as long as it’s not code work. I travel with my own tools.
I have one cat, a beautiful, sweet, luxuriously long-haired gray cat with a white throat and paws, and no eyes. Yep, she was born without any, a condition called anophthalmia. But unless you knew this, you’d have no idea she’s blind, she’s adapted so well. Her name is Idgie, she’s 17 years old, and you’d never know that, either, because she’s as bright and energetic as she was as a kitten. She is my heart and my faithful travelin’ pal.
I enjoy boondocking in the Arizona desert, especially near Quartzsite, since it's such an RV-friendly town. It's possible for me to do this, even though I have to work while on the road, because I have 400 watts of solar power on my rig.
Upper Black Eddy, in Bucks County, PA is my home base. I dock there on a friend's property from June through September, then head south for the winter. I love Pennsylvania deeply, and it will always be my heart home; but it’s time I see more of this country while I’m still young and healthy enough to enjoy it!

Wild had to delay her arrival due to weather.
She arrived a day late and later in that day than expected.
Her communication for the delay was exceptional.
When she arrived it was evident she was tired. She kept to herself over night and left early.
I wish we had more time to visit. I know she was interested in bee keeping and the original plan was to do a hive inspection with me.
Life made it change.
Safe travels. Contact us again if you come back this way!
Wow. Wildheart you are the nicest we’ve hosted so far. So kind, knowledgeable, and personable. We enjoyed our dinner with you at Nachos. Doris is really enjoying the book you gave her and I see a metal detector in my future because of the book you gave me. You are a kind and generous person and welcome here anytime. Safe travels my friend.

PS Wildheart backs that trailer up better than some truck drivers I know!
Really nice Lady. Enjoyed hosting her. Doris and I both received books as gifts. One Authored and one Published by our guest. Doris is reading hers as I type this. Thank you so much. I was impressed with her backing skills. We look forward to hosting her again. Safe travels and God bless you.

We hosted Mary for 1 night. She is a pleasant lady that is working on the road. Since she had work to do and we had an engagement to attend, we did not have time to get very well acquainted. We hope she stops by again some time when we have more time to visit. She is welcome back at Milligan Retreat any time.
Wild heart is a wonderful guest with lots of interesting stories and hobbies.
We enjoyer stay b
