Quiet couple who loves to learn

Active Guest

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

I’m 53 and my hubby is 69. We are retired and love learning and seeing new things. When we’re home we volunteer with our local cancer association and the Red Cross through musical programs. We both have a couple of degrees but have grown crops, cleaned chicken coops, and lived in the jungle with tarantulas and scorpions. We’re pretty self-sufficient and don’t mind lending a hand when our skills are need. We accept people as they are but have a preference for kindness. :)

Skills & Expertise to Share

Hubby can do anything from electrical to building to growing crops. I’m his assistant in many of those endeavors. I’m also a little handy with computers and research and figuring out stuff.

truenorth's Pets

We have a 7 year old Jack Russell named Rock. He came to us after his owner passed away. He’s a good pup. He is always leashed and current on vaccinations. We always pick up any presents he leaves. lol

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Our favorite boondocking spots have been on BLM land in AZ and NM.

truenorth's Hometown

We are from a small town outside of Greenville, SC. It is a beautiful area in the foothills of the mountains yet only 3.5 hours to Charleston. We have both lived outside of the country and in other states, but have spent the majority of our lives in SC.

A fun few days!

When we started hosting boondockers, we had no idea how many new friends would result. These folks are a perfect example. We have a lot of interests in common, and they are just wonderful people in general. We hope to see them often!
