We own our home in a very nice area in Redding California. It is a beautiful, quiet area. I am a retired tile contractor and work a part-time job driving the bus for a retirement residence, and my wife retired from her job with the county in 2014. We get away when we can.
We currently have a class A motorhome.
We have two grown sons and three grand children, 2 boys and a girl . They are the joy of our life.
We enjoy RVing and and hope to make your stay enjoyable.
I am a hands on guy. I like to do my own service work when I can. I was a tile contractor for 35 years. I’m very knowledgeable about RV’s and mechanical things.
We do not have pets but welcome non-barking, disciplined pets
We like going to the ocean and the mountains. We hope to travel more extensively in 2018.
I am from upstate New York and Paula is from Southern California. We moved to Redding in 1982 and love everything about it except the hot summers. We spend a lot of time with our sons families and enjoy taking our oldest grandson on trips with the RV in the summer.

This was our second "boondockers welcome" experience. Great hosts that greeted us when we arrived and shared their RV experiences. Knowledgeable and ready to assist with anything we needed. Perfect and safe neighborhood with wide and peaceful streets. Great spot on their RV driveway with a 30 amp hook up. If you are in the Redding area -- a must stay.
This stay was during the Corona Virus Stay at Home orders, and as a full timer, we needed placed to stay while we looked to establish a new "home base". Many locations refused to accept visitors (understandably). "P and S" still opened their location and we were thankful they did
First, they have a beautiful location, and the entire area is beautiful. we walked the neighborhood in the evening, and it was great.
Second - as a host, they came and talked with us (with appropriate social distancing) and made sure we were able to get setup at their location and had access to what they offer to guests.
I would not hesitate to stay here again, if they continue to offer their space. they are a gracious host with a beautiful location to stop and rest for the night.
Thank you for your hospitality and the opportunity to stay at your home!!
Thank you so much to our gracious hosts. It was our first experience as guests with Boondockers Welcome. It was seamless. The location was easy to find and in a gorgeous neighborhood. Very nice people that respected our privacy. Highly recommend!
P and S were our first Boondockers Welcome hosts, and they set the bar high! They are both very nice and generous. They even brought us freshly baked cookies!
Their RV spot is a level, paved driveway in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We were able to fit our 24’ trailer with our 4Runner attached. They have a 30A receptacle and water hookup available. All in all, a great stay!
Great hosts, located in a beautiful neighborhood of grand homes and lush landscaping. Parking is in an easy-to-access, nearly flat driveway. We originally asked to stay for just one night but needed a little more time in Redding. No problem; just come on back for another night! Now that is hospitality... Thank you so much!
Great location in a beautiful residential area. Hosts came out to visit for a little bit, had a nice chat. Quiet spot, very convenient.
We recently stayed for two nights as a stopover. The driveway spot was flat, quiet and felt very safe. It was close to groceries, laundry and gym and very easy to get back on the interstate. The hosts kindly accepted a last minute change in plans due to weather and we had a lovely chat. Highly recommend!
Didn't converse with either P or S except very briefly, to get directions on parking preferences. This is a nice quiet and safe neighborhood with a dedicated driveway pad for visiting RV's. We left a day earlier than planned as we met up with some friends in a dispersed camping area just an hours drive away. Thanks for the hospitality.
We really appreciated the quick response accepting us for an overnight stay. Such a beautiful location that is easy to find and we highly recommend such accommodating hosts! We would love to stay another time if we are in the area.
Very kind. Very welcoming. Our electricity cord was too short and Steve lent us a 30amp wire. We spent an evening with them discussing. Very interesting. A white zinfandel vino is absolutely required! Paula loves it! lollll ;-) Merci beaucoup! :-)
I drove a lot around Redding and this is the among the most beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood I've seen. Security cameras are a good idea near Redding :) There is 30A power at the left front of the concrete RV pad / drive. The concrete is level enough you probably won't need levelers.
We had a very pleasant stay with P&S, quiet night, and a very connected chat next morning. You guys have to get passports and visit us up in BC...
Will certainly come by again.
We stopped for one night with P & S in Redding. They live in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and have an additional concrete drive to park in. Power was generously offered and we accepted. S was helpful and patient in providing back up tips for this rookie. P chatted with us in the morning and gave us directions to get back to the freeway. Very nice couple. We highly recommend.
A great convenient stopover spot, easy to and from I-5. Hosts were very welcoming and have lots of knowledge about RVing.
Great stopover point when traveling. Easy access from freeway to a beautiful quiet neighborhood. S&P were very welcoming. An electrical hookup was offered which we took. Very nice spot. Thank you S&P
Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for our RV. Best of all, the nicest most accommodating hosts. We got in late and had to leave early and they were so easy going and generous. Thank you so much.
Very hospitable! Great plac for a break from a he road! Thanks again!
We had a great one-night stay with P and S. They have a nice concrete site on a quiet road and provided power for our RV. Wish we would have had time to visit with them more. Thank you P and S!
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality. These hosts are very welcoming, offering water and electricity. Steve offered to get the password for the internet for us and I was very grateful because my cell phone was out of range of my provider signal.
Mike and Dee
I stayed one night in P's and S's specially built driveway for RVs. S wasn't at home when I arrived, so I just met P, a very kind woman who offered me to plug into their outdoor electric outlet (when I didn't do because my rig has solar). They live in a very beautiful and quiet neighborhood. I was grateful for their hospitality, and recommend them highly as welcoming hosts.
Great host. Stayed one night. Was very helpful. Had a change of plans and contacted them the night before. They were quick to respond. Extremely nice people. It would be a pleasure to stay again if we were back that way again.
We had only one night but it was all we needed as a perfect jumping off point for Lassen. Steve and Paula were there to meet us and kindly provided all we needed with water and electricity on a perfect driveway in a nice tidy neighborhood. Many thanks guys!
BEWARE: LOW TREES if you approach eastbound along El Vista Street: Our RV suffered a nasty bang and a front-top-right dent from a thick tree branch at 12ft height! (Amazed we didn’t lose any solar panels).
If you are ever doing the very long drive up through California's Central Valley and need a great stop over at the north end, P and S have an excellent setup in Redding. There was water and electricity at the ready, and the space was relaxing and pleasant. Two thumbs up!
Very helpful couple - we were having problems with our fridge and they helped with advice and names of local RV repair shops. This was our first BoondockersWelcome overnight and we just hope all future stops will be as pleasant.
Two nights before Christmas and late at that, my request was answered immediately after my inquiring email. Pulled in at 8:30pm. Beautiful neighborhood, very quiet, great flat space. Met Steve, very nice. Helped us back in. Didn't see him in the morning, but we thanked him by email.
We enjoyed this stop very much, even though we hadn't even met, and still haven't, we just talked on the phone and on the Boondockers Welcome site. We were allowed to stay in the driveway of a very beautiful home in a nice quiet neighbourhood. We felt safe and that is very important when driving though an area that you don't know.
