We do not have any pets. The wildlife on our 67 acre property provides us with all our pet needs.
Born ,Raised, Met and Married in Toronto Ontario Canada. Moved to just outside the lovely City of Orillia Pop 30,000 approx A beautiful city hosting The Mariposa Folk festival, which is our personal favorite. Nestled between Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching this area is a boaters paradise and part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. Orillia's downtown waterfront is a mecca of boutiques and restaurants with larger big box stores farther inland. The many local shows at the theatres and Opera house as well as nearby Casino Rama can provide entertainment choices not found in any other small city.
Love this area , love this host , so friendly, second time here this year & feel like we are visiting family. Wayne is a very outgoing person , so easy to talk to, hope to see you next year
Thank you for the wonderful weekend. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. It was a beautiful weekend and we really enjoyed meeting you. The hosts know lots about a variety of things and we learned a lot and enjoyed the conversation. It was also great to have access to power and water. Thanks again and all the best!
Our recent visit at Bright Horizons was a great experience. Our hosts were very informative and interesting to visit with.
We got to share many interesting stories.
They took time to show us around and tell us of different things to see in the area.
We had a very nice walk around.
I would highly recommend staying there.
Thank you for hosting us, it was a pleasure for us.
Bright Horizons worked out perfect for us. Easy to find, nice big driveway and ample parking.
Place is totally set up for Boondockers. Water and hydro right there. We didn't have time to explore
but looks like a pretty cool place. The hosts were great and taught me how to properly gather my
electrical cords.
Thanks for everything,
Tojam
Stay was just the greatest , Wayne let me stay a extra two nights, just great to talk to, will miss his conversations, thank you for making my trip so nice
Willy
Thank you so much for having us we really enjoyed our stay and hope that we shall see you again sometime
What a wonderful experience. Location was super quiet and restful but lots to do in the area. Host are outstanding, we enjoyed the many moments of conversation about life and RV’ing. They are on our list to visit again.
Wonderful visit, great quiet location, awesome hosts! Very helpful, even helping me try to fix the water heater and introduced me to Hap, the used RV parts wrecker yard guy. We will return! Talk very soon Bright Horizon!
We left a day early because of rain but will go back. Nie property and very nice people.
The hosts were very friendly, knowledgable, and super helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the near future
We could not have been more warmly welcomed by our hosts.....they are a very generous couple with local information and sharing of their property.
We had several visits "under the treez".
We would highly recommend this location and we'd be happy to visit again.
Thanks W & C
We had a "bright" start to our Ontario stay cation at "Bright Horizons"! Our hosts were welcoming and a pleasure to chat with while our son explored their dock area on a very quiet corner near Orillia Ontario. We had some power and lots of room and felt very safe and welcome. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely property!
Our hosts were very accommodating and great company. We spent 2 nights here and had great conversations. We ebiked to Orillia (15-20 minutes away) very safe area to bike where we spent a good part of an afternoon. We highly recommend you pass by here and enjoy a few days. Thanks very much guys and hope to see you again soon.

A wonderful couple who are very welcoming and have a beautiful property next to lake Simcoe. Lots of room and had a nice time with two other Boondockers during our visit.
This is an amazing location. It’s like a park. Upon arrival they welcomed us to their back yard shelter. Very friendly. Loved to hear stories of their wildlife and their 40 year relationship with generations of beaver. Has easy access to maneuver in to and out. There was another couple (full time RVers in a class A) staying there as well and it was interesting to hear about their issues along the way and how Covid times have changed their plan and Challenges about finding a place to hunker down come the cold weather season.
We had a fantastic 2 days at Bright Horizon property very nice and welcoming people nice chat can't ask for more
The property is up for sale, that will be a great loss to the community as this is a wonderful location, and most gracious hosts. Highly recommended.

The hosts were welcoming and very friendly. We enjoyed watching and listening to the many types of birds on the property and even got to watch a heron gathering his morning meal. There is a lovely dock and nature trails on the property. We shared a couple very fun evenings with the hosts and another couple who were also staying there. Would love to come back again!
Bright horizons is wonderful! We were greeted by the lovely hostess with a beautiful smile and then our host with a warm voice who said we could choose which parking spot we wanted. There was even hydro which we gladly chose as all our gadgets we running on ‘E’. We strolled down what felt like a nature trail and came upon a dock sitting in a little cove on Lake Simcoe. There was also a pond and all kinds of different birds. Our hosts invited us to their back yard to sit under the trees in the shade. A little later another couple who were guests had returned from a day of hiking and joined us. We had a lively conversation which left us with smiles on our faces as we all went our separate ways for late dinners! Thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us. You are a lovely couple.
We had a good visit with Bright Horizons, & interesting discussions about travel, solar panels and low energy-use buildings.
Friendly, welcoming.
Recommend Bright Horizons.
We plan to be back.
We had another great stay this weekend! Our fishing tournament went well but we finished well out of the money. Checked out the marine railway at Big Chute at our hosts suggestion but cut the visit short due to a tornado warning. Definitely recommend Bright Horizons!

Pour host had suggestions for place to visite that made the trip at his place rewarding.Really happy about the expérience.
We were 4 people with 2 rigs at this host’s place and we really enjoyed ourselves. We discovered things we had never seen before, thanks to our host. They are wonderful people who made us really feel welcome. Good luck to both of them in their new adventure.
We really enjoyed our time at Bright Horizons. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. They were also accommodating as we had to change dates and needed an extra night. Location is great, there's a beach 20 minutes walk and it is also super quiet. Thank you again for your hospitality, it was so lovely to meet you!
Our stay at Bright-Horizon was really nice. Our host greeted us warmly and made sure we were set with water and electricity. The platforms are nice and flat and perfect for the night. We had great conversations in the evening and had an excellent night in a quiet setting. Thank you for your generosity and friendship.
Wayne and Carole were excellent hosts and we really enjoyed staying at their little piece of paradise. They were very friendly, although unfortunately we didn't get too much time to spend with them. Wayne even let us borrow some of his tools to fix a slight problem we were having with a vent cover. They were also very accommodating, as our initial trip booked with them had to be postponed due to truck problems we were experiencing. They are conveniently located between 3 provincial parks and have a very nice property. We would definitely recommend staying with them if you get the chance!
Our host met us and helped us get parked. We got together for a great visit Tuesday afternoon. Both hosts had some great storys about their life and where a joy to visit with. There location was quiet and he provided us with power. Thank you and hopefully we will meet up again.
We had a great stay at Bright Horizons! Very friendly and helpful guests. Even told us where to catch fish!
I really enjoyed my stay at Bright Horizons. I will be coming back very soon!!
Very welcoming hosts with a large, quiet property providing a very comfortable stay. They are nice to chat with and offered the use of a large fire pit to enjoy in the evenings. Their location is ideal, being close, yet far enough away from the town of Orillia to experience the quiet of rural life.
We hope to visit again! Thanks!
We had the pleasure of our very 1st RV'ing and very 1st boon docking experience all in one with this lovely couple. Carole was great to visit with, but Wayne is like having a personal RV newbie school instructor with us for the weekend. Tons of suggestions for making our many years of camping a great ones. So much to learned.
The property was beautiful and easy to get into. We had a great weekend, and would love to thank them for such a wonderful time. We would love to return sometime.

What a beautiful property!
My pet and I walked out in the peninsula.
Just gorgeous.
Thank you Wayne. Very accommodating, Large quiet parking area with electric hookup. Enjoyed a glass of wine and a chat. Good luck with your future adventures.
We were welcomed with open arms by our hosts. We had a wonderful stay and were even invited along to an RV group lunch they were hosting. Wishing them the best in their future RV travels. Sorry we are so late in posting this, we thought we sent it right after our stay but apparently forgot to submit it.
Excellent hosts and location for cycling and kayaking. They are so nice, generous and friendly. They gave us useful information about RV and great advice for visiting the area by bike or vehicle. Perfect place for boondocking with large parking. Beautiful area. Very quiet. We had a nice stay.
Very much enjoyed our visit with Bright Horizons. Excellent, warm hospitality. Large open and flat area for parking. Private and quiet. Recommended.
We had a nice welcome and great time.
They gave us great advice for visiting the area. Great place and quiet.
Enjoyed our stay at Bright Horizons. We were welcomed into their home for engaging conversation. Very knowledgeable of the area and gave us good ideas on where to visit. Enjoyed visiting the Big Shoot Marine Railway and the Kirkfield lift lock. Didn't make it to Saint Marie Among the Hurons. We'll save that for the next visit! Looking forward to visiting again.
We enjoyed our brief visit with Wayne & Carole. They made us feel very welcome and we had a great night’s sleep. The parking area is very large and would accommodate a much larger unit than ours.
Thanks for the stay, a very pleasant and nice couple helping to enhance the boondocking experience. We will definitely stop by again. Thank you for allowing us to experience our first boondocking night.
Wayne's location is absolutely beautiful and he is a spectacular host. I learned many things about the design of his unique custom-built home and also my RV's electrical system (from him). His family was very welcoming and the location is ideal for a short stay in one of the more beautiful parts of Ontario.
Wayne was an excellent host. The property is perfect for boondocking with a large driveway entrance and plenty of room to manoeuvre your rig. It was a snowy/rainy weekend when I was there, but you are right on the shores of Lake Simcoe. I hope to come back in fair weather and explore the lakefront view.
