I have a lust for life and adventure. My name is Matt and I'm a Marine and combat veteran, medically retired. I love to write and will be completing my MFA while on the road. I'm also learning to play guitar! I'm traveling with Marley, (a basically human) Standard poodle and Gypsy Rose, a 20lbs. Portugese Podengo. After living on a 22 acre piece of beautiful land, learning to grow and produce my own food, I've decided to hit the road for more adventures! I'm an avid health enthusiast and have a mobile gym that allows me to workout anywhere.
-Experience with organic gardening, meat processing (chicken/Turkey, deer, pigs). Also, canning meat and vegetables.
-Have chainsaw and axes for woodcutting.
-Security/military/law enforcement experience.
Marley is an incredibly intelligent (and quiet) Standard (full-size) poodle and Gypsy Rose likes to think she's bigger than she really is (all 20lbs. of her)!
Just getting started!
I'll be traveling full-time, but consider Missouri my home base.
A 1990 Chinook Concourse 18+. Small foot print and is considered a micro motorhome. I tow a 5x8 enclosed cargo trailer that includes my dual sport motorcycle.
TheNomad only stayed overnight, but enjoyed visiting with him when he arrived. He and his dogs are definitely welcome back anytime.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with The Nomad and his 2 awesome dogs, Marley and Gypsy. Very respectful, nice, and funny. Had lots of things in common to discuss. The Nomad is welcome back any time!
The Nomad and his two dogs Marley & Gypsy Rose were a joy to host. We enjoyed chatting and learning about his interests. We hope to see him again.
The Nomad was a very pleasant guest. He told us many interesting aspects of his travels and of different camping areas. We shared a relaxed evening including a meal and hours of great conversation. We also found that we had a common interest in music and enjoyed his guitar fingerpicking very much. The Nomad was very considerate and respectful of our property and wishes. He will definitely be welcome to visit with us again.
TheNomad stayed overnight with us while passing through our area. We had a nice visit with him when he arrived and all we can say is wish he stayed longer. Matt is friendly, interesting, respectful and an all around nice guy. His dogs loved the space to run free and were also great guest. He is a great communicator and kept us informed of his arrival time and very appreciative of his stay. He was a pleasure to host and we hope he stops in again when in our area.
Safe travels to you Matt we hope you have an awesome journey.

This boondocker is a great visitor, he`s a pleasure to host, very intresting , has become a real family friend to my kids & grandkids as well.
THENOMAD postponed his original stay due to a severe winter storm progressing through the area. His rescheduled approach after the storm's passage was marked by frequent and excellent communication regarding his progress toward SPAGHETTI'S ROOST, culminating in arrival at 6:30 PM. I am embarrassed to admit that I had fallen asleep in my lounge chair and missed THENOMAD'S arrival. Fortunately, a friend staying with me that was kind enough to greet him and, since no hook up was required, direct him to anywhere on my acreage that he desired to park. Definitely low maintenance, those Marines!! THENOMAD is most welcome to return at which time I promise to be awake! Becky & George
We didn't actually get to meet Nomad. We gave him directions on where to park and told him to contact us with any questions. He was so very understanding about the fact that we had something come up the last minute. He had no problem arriving and getting set up by himself. He communicated with us when he arrived and even sent us beautiful sunset pictures! He would be welcome again any time.
extremely enjoyed talking with him .
I probably bent his ears more than he wanted; I do not leave the farm very often due to the coronavirus, so I really enjoyed visiting. Have safe travels!
TheNomad was an awesome guest. Great company, nice, personable, respectful, and fun. His travel companions were very well behaved. We hope to have him back whenever his travels bring him our way.
Great guy. Cool dogs. Interesting conversations. Come back soon!
You will be fortunate to met Nomads`s aquantinence,& have him as a guest. He`s very nice, down to earth intresting guy. hopefully he`ll stop by again.
This was our first guest thru Boondockerswelcome and it went over without a glitch. He was quiet and a quick one. He was here around 12 hours, all went well. Glad he was happy with our property site. Wish he could have seen our property in the daylight but he was on a tight schedule to make it to his brother’s house in Florida for Christmas. Safe travels to TheNomad, come back anytime.
