My husband Jared and I are a couple of friendly, down to earth, good-hearted hippies. We love seeing live music and do so as often as possible! If you know of any good local bluegrass or jam bands, or places to hang out where such things go down, we would love to hear about it!
We are full-timers traveling in our fifth wheel camper we call Blue. It's been a crazy, interesting, sometimes stressful but always amazing journey so far! We look forward to meeting like-minded people to share experiences with, seeing breathtakingly beautiful places all over the country, learning as much as we can as we go, and most of all enjoying the ride!
Peace and Love,
Lonni and Jared
I am a cook by trade and I especially love to bake.
No pets right now. We are both animal lovers and are hoping to find the right puppers to add to our family at some point in our travels.
East of Pittsburgh. I am from Greensburg, PA and Jared is from Johnstown, PA.
We have a Chevy Silverado.
My guests were just perfect !! Lonni and Jarod were supposed to arrive in a couple of days!!
Things were in sudden turmoil at my house because everything I owned had been severely damaged by a hail storm, and the insurance company was suddenly giving me "deadlines", so I was very stressed and afraid I wouldn't be a very good host for them when they arrived. However, I would never interrupt someone's travel plans at a late date. So when they arrived, had gotten settled in, and rested a bit, we began our introductions!
When Lonni and Jared arrived, it was so very pleasant to meet them, and hear about their travels and planned future adventures! . During the conversation, I learned that they were truly ''adventurers" and weren't certain of their next destination because of the weather. In the conversation, they learned that I was under pressure from my insurance company to get some things relocated, and they instantly said: "We will help!"
As it turned out, they were so very delightful, a lot of fun, and we shared a lot of common interests! We had so many things to talk about, and there just wasn't enough time to do everything, but we tried! When the weather turned cold and the rain began, they immediately jumped in and helped me get my possessions stored away from any more hail damage, and in doing so, they saved me so much valuable time and money! I couldn't imagine having strangers that became such wonderfully kind and thoughtful friends in such a short time!!
We had lots of fun sharing meals and there were so many things we all wanted to do, and so I invited them (begged them) to stay longer so we would have time to do more things together. They both have great talent and are very intelligent, so we never ran out of things to do, and topics of conversation! They were such delightful guests / new friends, that I invited them to stay with me several more days until they needed to leave by a certain date to attend a big event. It was disappointing to know they would soon leave!!
They were very quiet and polite, and after they drove away, they had left my property a better place, because they are boondockers that "leave no trace". They have an open invitation to come back and stay with me at any time! I will sincerely look forward to the time when they decide to come my way again!
If they should contact you in their travels, you can't possibly go wrong by encouraging them to stay with you! Their visit was truly a blessing, tons of fun, educational, ........ and yet they were such wonderful guests that they would be an asset to any of the hosts and hostesses of **BOONDOCKERS WELCOME**! They are now "awesome new friends" who are "welcoome anytime"!!
I hope all of you will have the pleasure of meeting them down life's highway, too!!
We appeared to have a lot in common with Lonni and Jared, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for their visit. They are very friendly and share our love for music. Lonni also invited us in for dinner, but we had other plans the first night and the wind and rain settled in the second day.
These guys were no hassle and very courteous. We truly hope they come back and visit again. Maybe we'll meet at a music festival sometime!!
