We are a couple from Upstate NY (Rochester) very near Lake Ontario. He is retired, and she is a travel nurse. While our motorhome is not parked here you are wellcome to use its 60' gravel pad. We have a 20A circuit and running water available for your use.
DIY guy with some mechanical and minor RV repair experience.
Yes, a 8yo Yellow Labrador and a 3yo Golden Retriever -- both very gentle. They have use of a fenced-in back yard adjacent to the gravel pad. When we travel for extended periods our pets are with us.
Have never boondocked except at Walmarts or Cabelas. Looking forward to it though.
North Greece / Hilton area, northwest country suburbs of Rochester, NY. This is apple country and we are located just a couple miles from the shore of Lake Ontario.
2018 Coachmen SportsCoach - with slideouts. Willing to go without putting out the slides for shorter stays but obviously it would be great if we could extend them to give us full access to the inside of our rig. We have an onboard generator and water tank if needed but if you could accommodate any electrical or water hookups that would be very much appreciated. We tow a 2019 Jeep Wrangler.
While we were here only a couple of days, they told us all the best places to go. (We’re still enjoying local favorites like the best Apple pie and custard.) They invited us to use their backyard and to let our dog play there. We truly enjoyed this spot and their conversation. They were wonderful hosts.
Although our hosts were not on premise, the neighborhood and site were welcoming as advertised. Our Airedale loved the ample, fenced backyard and we enjoyed Kelley’s Farm Market for some mulled cider and fresh apple pie. The proximity to the Finger Lakes Region afforded us an opportunity to enjoy some beautiful venues and would look forward to meeting our hosts and their dogs at a future visit.
Easy location to find. It is near a busy road but it quiets down after sunset. Even with social distancing our hosts were helpful.
We loved our stay - hosts were so kind and generous from the moment that we arrived - and the location was perfect! Hilton is such a great town to visit - especially in the fall! Everything in Rochester is a pretty easy drive and within about 30 minutes. Parking was level and an easy in/out. We stayed busy during our visit - I wish that we had more time to get to know our hosts - they were wonderful and we'd certainly love to visit again in the future!
The host is very helpful, and if you're on you way to or from Rochester, it's a great overnight spot.
