Avid world traveler and road tripper. Always preparing and planning for more adventures on the highways and byways of the world.
I'm bilingual (English and Spanish). Intensely private and don't like to talk much but love listening to your adventures. So if listening is a skill, I've got it finely tuned. Crafty, into DIY.
I have 2 dogs, both rescues and very spoiled.
What is my home town - well, not a question I can easily answer. I've lived in several countries, states, and places. Home is where I lay my head. I'm a nomad; travel is in every fiber of my being. Standing still makes me crazy. I'm standing still at the moment while I plan my next escape. My hat currently hangs in Los Angeles county.
My first Boondockers Welcome guest experience: I was pleasantly surprised with a gracious host who allowed same-day booking, texted the information I needed, and took virus precautions seriously. She provide a wide driveway spot secluded behind a privacy gate in an LA suburb. Her pleasant conversation and the ample dogs and cats in the neighborhood made me feel at home. The LA area is lacking in good, reasonably priced RV parks and Boondockers Welcome fills the gap nicely 😎 !
Very kind host with a huge yard. She is very responsive and makes sure her guests are comfortable at her place. Will definitely revisit her. We also had the strongest Verizon internet connection till date..!
Host was very communicative and helpful! Explained rules clearly and provided extremely detailed directions to the location and also to other places we mentioned we wanted to go.
The lot is completely flat and we found the stay very accommodating.
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Quiet private easy to find. Great access to highway and lots of shopping and food nearby. Majnomad is a great host, I highly recommend.
This turned out to be a wonderful stay with majnomad and, as others have mentioned, very safe and quiet. The driveway is by bordered with landscaping and affords a private spot. We initially didn’t think we could manage her street as we needed to turn around at the dead end. With our 30 ft trailer we had difficulty as it is not big enough to make a u-turn in one pass. Smaller rigs or even motor homes probably would have no problem. There are cars parked on each side of the street so once we got turned around the backing into the driveway was also challenging. But we made it and parked behind the gate on her long driveway. The location is central to all services including a delicious family of bakeries called JJ Bakery (Asian meet French). We enjoyed meeting majnomad and appreciate her participation in BW. We recommend this stay and hope to return.
When we needed a place to stay in LA for my son's wedding, Majnomad came through in a "major" way. Her location was only 35 minutes from the wedding venue and my son's home. Her property included a long double driveway with a locked gateway, which kept our Airstream safe and our minds at ease. Majnomad gave us all the privacy we needed, but also took the effort to give us the lay of the land, the locations of restaurants and points of interest in LA. She had 3 cute little dogs, one of whom warmed my heart, and some friendly neighbors who waved to say hello. We feel that we have met one of the good ones, and hope to get to know her better the next time we visit LA.
Our host was friendly and welcoming and gave us some much needed advice about the next part of our adventure. The plot was spacious, secure and flat. We had a perfect night's sleep for the drive ahead. Thank you for letting us stay.
Stayed for two nights and it was lovely! Very quiet, very safe, spacious, great knowledgeable host. Would definitely stay again!
Homegirls have is certainly what it is. Marina was wonderful, so helpful and knowledgeable with hints/tips about the Los Angels area. The space she has was generous and very accommodating. The time we had here was made simple, easy and affordable thanks to Marina. Thank you again!
Marina is a great host and we are really grateful. We stayed at her place for 5 days.
She even gave us some maps and info about LA.
Perfect leveled space for the RV.
Thank you very much Marina! We wish you all the best!
Perfect place for seeing LA.
Fantastic host, had printouts read for us for everything we could see and do in the area.
Might be confused as thought message and reference were left.
In any case. No muss no fuss and enjoyed travell talk with her.
This host is super nice! She gave us a lot of tips for downtown LA and helped us with the metro system and even gave us a lift to the city! We had a very pleasant stay.
We had a lovely stay with this kind host. We felt very welcome in her cozy little backyard and were happy to get to meet her in the morning. She also recommended us a great spot for our kid to have fun in the neighborhood.
Great stay at Homegirls Haven! Perfect place to stay while visiting LA. You will find a level spot for your RV in a neighborhood where we felt safe. Our host was kind enough to share ideas of what we could do in the area. Got to do some fun things in LA and there is no way we would have been able to unless we had this space. We had to change our schedule last minute due to a snow storm to the area we were planning to visit and our host kindly accommodated us while we made arrangements. Snow capped mountains right around the corner, to top it all off! Thank you so much!
I love this place!! Thank you so much again for being so kind for having me and offering a HOME in this crazy madness of LA! :-)
Majnomad was a stellar host. She was so flexible with our needs and our schedule, her little dogs are absolutely adorable, and she's such a genuinely good person to get to be around.
I had such a great time at majnomad's house! Super easy going, such a generous and friendly person, she didn't in any way mind my schedule. I felt very welcomed and she made me feel HOME immediately! She has lots of space and offered to park anywhere I want. Hook ups if needed and I could separate my trash. Her dogs are little cuties too! The neighborhood offers all you need in a short distance and I felt very secure. I had to sit out a heavy rain day, which can turn the already terrible traffic in LA completely upside down and majnomad offered me to stay even longer, since all that matters to her was me being safe. She is one of this amazing examples, why the nomad community is so wonderful and somewhat a big family and we look out for each other. I am looking forward to be back soon and also see her progress on working on her trailer and hopefully return the favor with anything I can help with! Thanks again! :-)
This is a wonderful, peaceful place to boondock with an amazing host. I am so grateful.
Great place to stay within a reasonable distance of LA. Public transport is cheap, frequent and really close.
Our host was lovely, a mine of useful information on LA and further afield.
