I am a retired teacher of the visually impaired with Los Angeles Unified School District. Retired, but I still teach. I am a big fan of the Mountain Dulcimer, a traditional Appalachian folk instrument. I wanted people to play with, so I went back to my undergrad training in music education and started teaching dulcimer. When we travel, I usually have at least one dulcimer with me. Frequently my travels are to places where I will be playing with others.
Normally I would be traveling with my husband, also retired, also a musician. He plays the Hammered Dulcimer - quite a different instrument than mine. He, however, has taken a position for one year, to be completed in June of 2019, in Maui. (I know -- poor guy.)
I'd love to show you my dulcimer! I'm a good listener.

The coast of Oregon, forest service roads everywhere. And in a pinch, Walmart!
Los Osos, CA is near San Luis Obispo on the central coast of CA. We are right on Morro Bay. Unfortunately, since we live in a mobile home park, we are not able to have RVers park at our place. We do love to connect with other RVers and show them around though!
