I have lived full time in an RV for about 6 years now, but have only recently embarked on an adventure across this great land... SOLO! I have spent a majority of my time on the road in the Southwestern region of the US, along with a little time in Montana, Wyoming, and my home state of Colorado. I am looking forward to spreading my wings a bit more and feed my gypsy soul by exploring the northern and eastern US.
I am a true gypsy spirit and love my life on the road, I can't imagine life any other way! I am finally doing what truly makes me happy... cruising the highways and bi-ways, seeing new places and meeting new people, and making wonderful lifelong friends along the way. I love exploring and sharing with others the tales of our adventures. I enjoy writing as well as many other creative things such as woodworking, painting, and other arts and crafts, which I sell to earn money while on the road. I also sell CBD infused salve for people and peanut butter for pets at farmers markets and other venues to help support my lifestyle when I am staying in an area with good venues near by.
I travel with my dog, Cheddar, a 7 year old Dachshund mix. He does bark sometimes but will stop when he is told to be quiet, except when something is really disturbing him, such as someone approaching the camper, in which case he will stop once the guest has greeted him and he knows they are ok with me. He is very friendly, completely socialized, LOVES people and is friendly with other dogs, although since he thinks he's a human, often times will ignore them. He is very cute, very loving, and my 100% my baby boy.
I do prefer to have electric hook up, but it is not required, as I have a portable battery and small solar panel.
On behalf of all us gypsies and nomads out here, thank you for being a host!
I am an artist who works mainly with driftwood and other wood carving projects, but I also dabble a bit in other types of art, such as paint and clay. I also make CBD products, LOVE music, and can't pass a roadside attraction without stopping. A lifelong bargain hunter, I enjoy spending some of my time in second hand / thrift stores and flea markets. You will find me supporting local artisans wherever I have parked my little home on wheels by frequenting farmers markets and other venues where local farmers, ranchers, and other members of the community can sell there wares. Locally grown fresh food items are always the best, and I am guarenteed to find some kind of cool, truly unique gifts.
I have been traveling for a few years so enjoy swapping stories with other RVers and learning of places to go and little hints for when we are on the road!
Yes. A small dog.
Outside Salida CO and near Thermopolis WY. I am looking forward to going to South Padre Island and trying out some boondocking on the beach this winter!
I own a beautiful 1997 F250 HD named "Chuck". He may be an older truck, but he is in amazing shape and won't leak any fluids when parked. His engine turns over quickly, runs great, and is gas... so no noisy start up's to worry about. I live in my large slide in camper, which adds a foot of length to my truck, which has a club cab and 8' bed. Four wheel drive, not a duelie.
Ksquared were pretty easy guests, stayed a few days and very busy with appointments, we did visit a little bit and hopefully a restful place to stay helped them to unwind after their busy schedule. They would be welcomed back if Montrose is part of their future adventures....
Very enjoyable people. Quiet and respectful. Genuinely great experience
We had some good talks and shared a "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" drink one night.
They are welcome back here anytime even if they aren't able to contact us through the site in time for a stay.
Good travels - Gerald Fuller
Enjoyed visiting with the and learning of their travels. Ready for their return trip when they can visit longer.
Had a nice time meeting these new to BW boondockers. Only wish they could have stayed a little longer to enjoy our part of Texas. Furry friends were quite fun to watch as they explored a new environment. Safe travels y'all.
Honored to host these two and their furry friends! Their stay was brief, but overall they seemed to get some much needed downtime! Would recommend them to other host! Their dogs were well behaved so do not let that deter you from hosting these gals!
Really enjoyed watching your dogs frolic in my fenced in area. Lots of topics we all have in common would have liked more time to fully engage. The weather, while cold, held out for you to get to your next destination.
