We have covered the Eastern US in our Bus Conversion(PD4104-4541). Our kids live in Central Florida, where we spend the winter. We have friends and family in Michigan and we try to spend most of the summer in Northern Michigan. Recently acquired a Roadtrek Class B. Planning a trip to the Grand Canyon next summer in the Roadtrek. We have hosted many bus conversion rallies, mainly in Florida where we belonged to 2 different FMCA sanctioned clubs. Upon retirement we relocated to Georgia and many of our friends from the clubs come to stay with us, some for a few days, others for a month or two. We love to see fellow RV'ers pull in the drive, which we especially had redone when we moved here to accommodate large rigs. We stay very busy so may not have time to be a tour guide. We kayak when we get a chance, but most of our time at home is spent working on vehicles and taking care of things that have to be done on the property. Getting ready for the next road trip. We live a simple life, we are not into formal dining or clubbing. You can find our profile on Busconversions.com.
I am one of the few people left who can work on a Detroit 2-cycle motor. 6-71, 8v-71
We travel with 2 dogs. 70 lbs and 50 lbs. When we are home the dogs have a large pen so they can spend some time outdoors. The pen also keeps them separated from the cats on the property.
UP Michigan, anywhere there.

Very nice folks making a quick stop. I enjoyed talking with them for a while. Good people.
They arrived mid-afternoon, after touring one of our winding, scenic river canyons. Our extreme summer temperatures relented and we were able to enjoy our first outdoor evening in many months. Just chatting and telling stories of places they and we have lived and/or visited. They have many more miles planned for this trip, so departed early. We wish them well and hope we meet again.
Wonderful host! Even made us cookies!!! We had to leave when we got a call and didn’t get to say goodbye in person! But they were fabulous. Very comfortable and quiet!
We had a very peaceful overnight stay in a beautiful rural setting. Our hosts were very welcoming and we especially enjoyed the friendly conversation. We recommend this location to anyone lucky enough to stay there.
A great place to stay, thanks for letting us look through you RV as we found it interesting as we have also converted buses into RV's
Our hosts went from Georgia to Florida, we went from Florida to Georgia. Thank you for opening your home even though you were traveling. Your grandson Chandler was a great host. Your site was excellent. You have obviously invested some time and money to make you guests welcome and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting your other guests from New Zealand. This was our first night camping in 13 years and as a Boondockers Welcome guest. We could not have been more fortunate than to have chosen you. Thanks again.
Very nice quiet location with great directions! Plus, we enjoyed hangin’ with our hosts and we love cats!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay, and it was great! Our host gave detailed directions that were spot on and avoided potential issues with other routes. We arrived later than expected, but that was not a problem. We had no trouble getting our 36' class a & toad parked and hooked up to power/water.
We spent much of the following morning chatting, swapping stories & letting kids play. Our stay was enjoyable & we'd highly recommend Hill Haven.
Staying with these two is like staying with old friends that you just met. This is our second BW experience and both have been excellent A high standard for future BW stops. We expect John and Lois to stay with us when they visit PA in their Roadtrek this fall. Our ATT hotspot worked fine at this location. Easy access to parking location..
What a nice place with those greats hosts.
They were very kind with us and we had a lot of nice conversations. It's like if we knew each other since many years. Real nice persons.
We enjoy our two days staying at this place.
Thanks again for your hospitality.

John and Lois were wonderful hosts, making us feel really at home. We had a great "International night" with a family from Luxembourg. Sharing stories about the love of travel with wonderful hosts is what Boon docking is all about. Hopefully our paths will cross on your journey later this year.
I think our fondest boondocking memory might be staying with these hosts!
We were welcomed here together with other travelers and enjoyed a lovely evening together on arrival.
Our toddler was so excited about all the toys in the yard and our baby got to play with a walker!
The next morning we were welcomed on the porch again for a yummy breakfast and received great tips about the area to spend our day.
When we came back they had set up their own bus for us as a storm was on its way! Luckily the rain only arrived the next day after breakfast (we were spoiled again) and they let us wait until the storm had past in their house. In the meantime they gave us useful advice and contact for the rest of our trip,
We are so grateful for the warm welcome here, lovely place and kindest hosts. Thank you!
We are very happy to meet Lois. She is a very nice woman (reminds me a lot of my grand-mother :) ) Beautiful area, quiet, perfect boondocking place! She even gave us a bag of deluxe snacks before we left, so lovely and kind. Thank you very much again and we would definitely come back there if we have too!
We stayed one night on this beautiful spot. John was not there we spoke with his wife Lois. She is a very friendly lady and offers us water and electricity. The spot is very quiet. If we are in the neighborhood we come again. We recommend this host.
Thank you for a great spot, easy in & out. Enjoyed hearing about your adventures & sharing ours! Sorry we didn't meet John but maybe next time! Thank you again for a great evening!
We had a great time staying at John & Lois’ driveway. They were lovely people and we even went and got some food together. We had great talks about life and family and they gave us some cookies to take with us which were delicious. Hopefully we get to see them again on the road! Or hopefully they come visit Canada and we can go on some adventures together! Either way we hope you guys keep in touch! Thanks!
We had a wonderful stay at Hilltop Haven. It felt like being with friends and family. Beautiful area, perfect camping spot, welcoming hosts, good conversations and lots in common made this a very enjoyable stay. We will be back, and hope if you ever come to Ontario you will come stay with us!
The host was great. Very experienced RV'er and very helpful and friendly. Location is out in the country and quite. Would stay again if in the area.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place. It was perfect for our needs. And thank you for all of the reassurance for we nervous first timers.
It was a very easy in and out. Our hosts made sure we had good directions to get to the place. It was a very peaceful evening. We would stop by again if we were in the area.
John and Lois were very accommodating hosts and their property was perfect for our travel trailer. John made sure that we had the correct and detailed directions to their site. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. Thank you!
I was kinda busy doing conference calls n such so didn't get to visit much with this very king host. I hope they will have me back on my next rip through here.
Hill Haven is a great spot to park for the night among other RVers. The hosts are welcoming and make you feel very comfortable in setting up and in conversation. A very quiet environment and I would hope that my journeys lead me there again.
Great friendly host and an easy big site to get into with water and electric. This was perfect for me, not really out of my way, and I could not have felt safer.
