Retired electronics technician. Built my own home and can fix most anything. Married for 30 years and we both love dogs. Grew up here in the farm country of PA and never left. We travel for months at a time but when were home our site will be available.
We have camped in 46 states and many providences so far in 4 different MH's. Put about 20K miles on our MH this year traveling to CA and AK in separate trips. I was an electronic technician by trade but like to play mechanic at times and maintain my own vehicles.
We have had several dogs in the past and just got a rescued red beagle mix that's about 5 years old.
Almost never stop at Wal-marts overnight. Have used Cracker Barrel, Cabelas and Bass Pro in the past. In Alaska you just pull off the road and park. We are Passport America members and use it a lot.
Numidia, PA. I still live on the farm where I was raised.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience our first time staying at a Boondockers Welcome.
Really enjoyed our stay. Property was so lovely and peaceful! Hosts were so helpful and kind! Great suggestion to visit Bill's Bike Barn, really enjoyed it, awesome interesting place. And Knoebel's Amusement park, fun time. Thank you so much!!!
On the way back from Canada I hit several traffic jams on I-81 and was not able to make my way back to Baltimore in the daylight. I was in a pickle and sent a request via boondockerswelcome to Randy-Lee who responded promptly and welcomed me with open arms.
The house and property are stunning and located in PA's breathtaking mountains. My only regret is that I wasn't able to stay a bit longer and get to know my hosts.
Our stay was only one night but it couldn't have been better. Pre-arrival communication was excellent. The facilities are complete with electricity, water and sewer -- thought we did not need any of them on that day. The hosts are friendly. We met several of their family as they invited us for coffee form the sun porch. The rural Pennsylvania countryside is beautiful. Hope to have an opportunity to visit again and that Randy-Lee will be able to visit us in Kansas one day.
This was our first stay using Boondockerswelcome.com. We could not have asked for a better experience. Randy-Lee were excellent hosts - helpful and knowledgable. The setting is beautiful with views of the farmland. There was another couple also staying the night we were there. We all chatted in the evening and even got meet our host's family. Convenient location. We hope to visit them again.
We were given helpful directions and when we arrived, were warmly welcomed to their beautiful spot under a huge maple tree. We enjoyed the quiet , country atmosphere and also the wonderful conversations we had with them. Very warm, friendly people.
We had a great stay! We enjoyed a nice, relaxed talk with our hosts both evening and morning. We have only been travelling 8 months with our first motorhome and they had encouraging stories of their travels, and some tips we had not heard or read before. Wonderful stop!
Sorry for the delay in response. We have been in locations where the internet was poor. The location provides and awesome view. The host sight is a very short drive to Knobel's Amusement Park, which is historic and has plenty to do. There are also several other local attractions. The hosts were personable and friendly. They even provided wood blocking for leveling. We would re
Very nice couple. Made us feel welcome, and we had a long chat with them last evening and this morning before we left. A very quiet and picturesque spot to stay. Gordon & Anne
The hosts are lovely and gracious, and shared so much of their experiences in Nova Scotia and Alaska....they brought their trips to life, and renewed my desire to visit both places....
The hosts are relaxed and friendly, and offer a beautiful idyllic spot to "sit a spell"...
Hoping their clutch of robins eggs is successful!...
Randy was waiting for me outside and offered different locations to place my rig. Also offered electric and water. We chatted a bit and we spent a few minutes in the house to share stories. We continued in the morning over a cup of coffee. Great place to stay. Randy and Lee are a wonderful couple and are very welcoming.
A nice couple that like to meet their guest and spend time with them. Great spot with a nice view and very quiet.
Hope to stay there another time.
We have been Boondockers Welcome members for several years but this is the first time we actually scheduled a visit and what a wonderful introduction! RandD could not have made our stay any better from their communication while we were arranging the visit to helpfulness when we arrived. Their site is beautiful and blissfully quiet. They are gracious and I wish we'd had more time to hear more about their travels. Having the electricity available was wonderful with the cold that rolled in the night we were there. Their home is on a road that is also great for a morning walk or run and their new additions, two beagle mixes, were entertaining. All in all we could not have hoped for better.
This was such a pleasure to have a FHU spot in such a beautiful setting. So quiet and peaceful. Host could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Wish I had more time to stay instead of just one night. Hopefully, I’ll get to come back again. And I sure hope our paths cross again. Very interesting and sweet couple.
We stayed one night with Randy and it was very nice. Quiet and dark made for a great restful night. What a wonderful couple. Warm hospitality! We hope to come back one day.
