Nice Couple, Nice Rig

We had a good chat down by the lake on an almost perfect day. They will be welcome back anytime. The dog was very friendly and a happy chap.

Absolutely wonderful couple. We enjoyed them so much, we invited them to stay second night. Their dog, Abbey, is a gentle, sweet , well-mannered girl. We look forward to meeting up again either boondocking at their place in New York or if they return to Florida.

Welcoming Couple

We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and shown a very level spot for easy parking of our unit. They shared information about places to visit as well as spectular views from their front yard. We enjoyed our conversations with this very gracious couple.

Quiet and Beautiful

Very congenial hosts. Large, level gravel parking spot across from their home. Great jumping off place from which to explore the Finger Lakes.

Wonderful hosts!

This is our second stay at this location and we loved it. The hosts are very interesting, knowledgable, lovely kind people. We enjoyed exploring the area and found 3 nature preserves and Carpenters Falls to enjoy close by.
We hope to return and maybe host them one day!
Thanks for everything Hikingcaver!

Beautiful peaceful place. D&D were most welcoming and accommodating, and gave great suggestions to explore the Finger Lake area. Abbey is a smiling sweetheart.

Wonderful Setting!

We didn't have the opportunity to interact with our hosts but found everything to be exactly as described (and beautiful). We had a great stay!

April 2021

Nice quiet spot near beautiful town of Skaneatles and the Finger Lakes

Had a fun time with pup at the finger lakes thanks to hikingcaver. Pup and I hiked carpenter falls, went into town and had lunch, enjoyed the views of the lake and parks, and even found a book store.

Serenity and Beauty high in the hills

It was a beautiful experience staying with Don and Donna. The location for our camper was a level grassy gravel roomy space right across from their home. It was up high in the hills at the end of a seasonal road and easy to get to with walking paths and a gorge/falls nearby. We were lucky to be there in October to enjoy the colors and falling leaves. Don was a very gracious host.

Great hosts and location!

Great hosts! Very informative about local hikes and gorges. Beautiful spot and close to lots of Finger Lakes attractions.

July 2020

Wonderful Stay

Hikingcaver have a great property on a very secluded site. We enjoyed the opportunity to pick from a couple locations for our trailer and engage in some interesting (socially distanced) conversations. In addition to learning about a great hike at Carpenter Falls, we were invited to tour the outside of the wonderful, earth sheltered home they built. Very jealous of their ability to live off solar, wind and wood power. You won't have any regrets spending a few days in Niles NY!

Fantastic area, wonderful stay.

We had the best nights sleep at this wonderful location. Beautiful area, great places to camp and wonderful hosts who mutually wore masks and kept social distancing, keeping us all safe. Perfect!
Highly recommend.

Pleasant stay in the country

Friendly and generous hosts. They offered us an electric hook up but we declined. We would definitely recommend this location. We would stay there again.
