Hi! We're Howard and Katelyn, and we went full-time in our 2019 Winnebago Navion in August of 2018. We just started our travelling, first up the East Coast of the US and Canada in the Fall of 2018 from our former home in Miami Beach, FL. In 2019 we are traveling along the southwest before curving north along the California coast eventually all the way to Alaska. We both work from the road, he's a CTO of a Virtual Reality company, she has her own consulting business specializing in Public Relations and Social Media. Joining us in our tour of North America are our two Puggles, Piper and Ella. So far, they love the RV when it isn't moving (sleeping is a big hobby of theirs), and venturing out at our stops. Their enjoyment of riding along as we drive is still a work in progress...
Goes without saying, but we are both quite tech savvy. Katelyn is a whiz at Social Media, Public Relations, and Marketing. Howard has an extensive background in media production, and worked for decades on major motion pictures, TV, and concert multimedia. He then moved into interactive technologies, including helping put Virtual Reality on roller coasters. Today, Howard is a Chief Technology Officer for a Virtual Reality medical training company, helping to train and develop our future healthcare providers and first responders.
We have two lovable Puggles (Half Beagle, Half Pug) named Piper and Ella. They travel with us fulltime, and thoroughly enjoy sleeping 16-18 hours a day.
Rutherford Beach, LA is fantastic for sandy boondocking when on the way from Texas into Louisiana.
Howard and Katelyn both lived in Miami Beach, FL before going full-time. Howard is from Ohio, born and raised in Cincinnati, while Katelyn has spent most of her life around Virginia. She grew up in King George County, and we both lived together for a while in RIchmond, VA.
2019 Winnebago Navion 24D. One slide on drivers side. We travel with a flat-tow vehicle (Honda CR-V)
I would highly recommend these nomads to other Boondock Host - very kind and generous couple - perfect Guests although we did not have much time to connect with busy schedules. Do hope that they have a chance to visit again.
