We are semi-retired and work primarily out of our home doing contract work in physics, engineering and math. We raised and homeschooled 2 children who are now adults. We are musicians----Hubby plays trumpet and bass while the wife sings and plays piano. We have traveled many places in the US and around the world, but also love being at home.
We tend to fix and make things ourselves for our home and outdoor lives. So, we have the typical skillsets required for being somewhat self-sufficient while living in a town.
We have 1 dog and several hens. Our dog is well traveled for a young pup. Free-ranging seems to satisfy the travel needs of the hens.
We live just outside of Albuquerque, NM in a rural residential neighborhood. Albuquerque is a great place to visit and experience the southwest. Plenty of outdoor activities with great weather for most of the year. Close to shopping and many restaurant options are here.

We really enjoyed hosting NVDweller, and it was great to meet their sweet rescue dog. Quiet, friendly, and courteous -- everything you could wish for in boondockers. Miss Pups made sure that they were all well barked at before they continued their journey. We would gladly have them back at our spot anytime they wanted.
Can't say enough good things about this couple, and their dog,Hank. So pleasant to have them visit our farm. Hope they come again some day. AFShore
Doc and I had a very relaxing and comfortable stay on the host property. We appreciate them letting us stay on their property. Think you again.
Our hosts welcomed us with a socially distanced visit in their yard.. Their dog Hank was friendly & happy to see us. They told us about the area, the bike path along the river, a great place to have breakfast and some places to visit.. Thanks,
we had a nice stay at Alameda Acreas.
The host couple was welcoming and very helpful. Their dog played with mine, wearing each other out. Location is very handy to all of Albuquerque and also open space for walking.
It was a pleasure to meet our host and be welcomed in to the yard. We were shown how to operate the gate so we could come in and out. Based on our host’s suggestion, we had a wonderful taste of New Mexico at El Bruno’s Restaurant. We enjoyed a quiet night in lovely surroundings.
Wonderful couple, very patient as we were delayed by construction traffic and came in pretty late. They were extremely hospitable. Very nice and quiet neighborhood and level RV parking spot. Would definitely stay here again.
We found this spot perfect for our visit to Albuquerque. Not too close in or too far out.
Very quiet safe neighborhood. We got some good tips for city blocks to walk and a local trail along the Rio Grande from our hosts.
We had a great stay at NVDWELLER. Very safe and conveniently located. The hosts are really nice and we loved talking about homeschooling with them. Thank you!!
Loved staying at Alameda Acre. Level, safe, dark. Everything we needed for a good night's sleep!
Really lovely and friendly couple, we had a great stay at their property, which is located in a really quiet neighborhood. They were really helpful and they advised us with their experience on the next steps for the planning of our trip. We wish we would had more time to share with them but we had unfortunately to shorten our stay from 2 night to one night due to weather constraints. We highly recommend these host! Thanks again for everything.
Our hosts were friendly, gracious and accommadating. Had a great time in Albuquerque. We enjoyed vsiting over coffee and shared travel tips with each other. At their suggestion we changed our route and schedule to include touring the town of Madrid on our way to Taos and so glad we did.
