My online resume has tabs across the top labeled cooking, cycling, service & sitting (house/dogs), so I guess that sums me up...other than a bit of the writing I've done, outdoor guidebooks & articles. Over the years, I’ve always been an outdoor guide. First on rivers, then rock & trails. Lately it’s been all about the touring bike, very much like a tiny RV, I've traveled with my 'house' in the panniers. There's a similar hosting exchange website for touring cyclists called Warmshowers. I've loved using it & paying forward all the wonderful hospitality I've received on the road. Now trading 2 wheels for 4. I tried a small RV last year, a unique 2003 Starflyte, but it was too much for me to keep up. Now I have a 2018 Ford Transit converted to a camper van and love it! My 2020 spring travels are for work, designing bicycle tours in FL for Wilderness Voyageurs.
Travel in almost every state. Especially familiar with cycling destinations. Outdoor activities...hiking, biking, climbing, paddling. Healthy cooking, simple living, writing/editing, volunteering.

Last trip was a beautiful spot on the Chama River in Northern New Mexico!
A FL native...calling the Land of Enchantment (NM) home since 1997. I love Santa Fe!

Talked to Nic though I was out of town and had a great conversation. My wife was home so we were able to accommodate stay on her cross country trip. She got in late and left early so not able to visit much but really enjoyed meeting her on the phone. My wife got her settled in and enjoyed her quick visit with Nic. We would love to have her back especially if she has time to visit more. Wishing her best on her travels.
Only stayed one night on her cross country journey. She was a welcomed guest.
NRB was a great Boondocker, between our busy schedules we did not get much chance to get to know her, but she was a good Guest and glad we could offer a space!
Was on a trip our self. But my neighbors knew that she was coming an ensure she park in a good location. Sorry that me missed her but are son said see was very nice .
My only regretting hosting her is that she couldn't stay longer. She's a terrific guest and super nice person. Hopefully she will come back sometime when she can stay longer.
Short overnight stay while traveling East. Left early but left me an energizer I can use on my next adventure. Thanks for the bar and note. Stop in anytime.
The kind of guest who makes you say, "Come back and stay any time!"
Thank you so much for the stay and all the great advice! We really enjoyed Santa Fe!
It was fabulous getting to meet NRB. We thoroughly enjoyed out chats for both the knowledge she was kind enough share with us and how interesting her travel and outdoor experiences have been. Her travel and local experience with the outdoors and what it has to offer are hard to beat. We look forward to crossing paths out on the road in the future. This experience was in our eyes a wonderful blessing that we will cherish for years. Cheers to NRB for being so kind and welcoming.
Super friendly host with great knowledge of the area! Helped us find free places to park and camp for our extended stay here in Santa Fe. Thoroughly enjoyed our chats and really feel like we met someone special. Hope to see you on the road some day soon!

We were honoured to be Nic’s first guests and thoroughly enjoyed an evening swapping stories and getting information on the local area.
