After 42 years in Corporate America, I am just fed up with the greed. We started with a fifth wheel, but my wife doesn't like the pick up truck, so that basically limited us to about a 5 hour range daily. We found a used MH that she liked and she is getting good at driving on the interstate. She says all the skinny roads are mine. We travel a lot to meet up with her brother and his wife who also have a MH. Only traveling the South now, but after retirement, we want to take so 1 or 2 month long trips to the NE and out West. We have never met anybody in a campsite that we didn't like and enjoy. We just want to grow our experiences.
I had a foreign car repair shop in my early years, and more recently we were Real Estate investors, so we have done it all, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting (ugh). I'm really glad that the basement storage space is limited, that way I can only carry a small set of tools. Paula is an expert at making friends everywhere she goes.
None yet, but we will be looking
2004 Holiday Rambler Imperial, bought 2 years ago and all I can say is thankfully the dealer talked me into an extended warranty. The bus is great, but like every used MH it had some hidden issues. And at this time (July 2012) we still have a year left on the warranty. We love it, we bought it because of the floor plan, it's a bath and a half. We've only put about 6K miles on it, but we plan to add to that a little bit over teh coming years.
