Hi - I'm Cheryl. Steve and I got married in 2018 and are both recently retired from the corporate world. Cooper is our puggle and constant traveler. We'll be trekking throughout the US over the next 2-3 years and are excited to visit and experience what our great country has to offer.
Steve is a wizard at anything. He is a mechanical engineer and worked in a variety of manufacturing companies (including an RV manufacturer). He built our current home, and we have renovated several kitchens lately, with several more planned. He built our (massive) lithium battery and solar system on our current truck camper. He's also a good cook and enjoys exploring new recipes.
Cheryl has been in the software quality and project management world for major computer hardware manufacturers and has an affection for gadgets. She also enjoys cooking, reading and traveling.
We both like to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
One dog. Cooper who is nearly 11 years old now. Nice quiet puggle. A little skittish in his older years but loves people and carrots.
Just starting to collect some.
Gooseberry Mesa in UT near Zion national park was our 1st ever boondocking spot and we look forward to returning.
Riverside, CA I grew up in southern California and Steve in Montana but has lived in So Cal for over 20 years. We don't plan on hanging out at home much between road-tripping and other travel plans.

Cheryl and Steve are a very nice couple. Too bad the weather was chilly / windy and Cheryl was fighting a fairly bad cold. They are a pleasant, friendly, respectful pair that's welcome back anytime they desire. In fact, we hope they can stop by next year on a trip north in better weather and better health. That will potentially be way more enjoyable in every way. I mentioned their truck camper in the title because we also have a truck camper!
Glad we could host you, come again anytime and we look forward to making it out your way too! Thanks also for noting the GPS couldn’t fix the house number we will make changes to our directions for other guests.
Cheryl and Steve just stopped for one night, wish it could have been longer. I really enjoyed talking to Steve about his awesome battery bank. Cooper is adorable.
Enjoyed our visit. Steve is very knowledgeable with the whole solar set up. Learned a lot. Always welcomed back.
Cheryl & Steve were great guests! They kept us updated with their approximate ETA. After setting up, they walked up to visit with us. Their dog is very sweet and mellow. We really enjoyed visiting with them and hearing of their travel plans. Then they have great plans for future 'RVing' once they get back home. Welcome back anytime!
Our visit was short, but very pleasant. Cheryl and Steve are awesome. They are always welcome here! Be sure to ask Steve about his electrical system. It's incredible!
CherylandSteve has a beautiful yard full of citrus trees. Quiet setting away from the main road. Steve let me pick his brain on RV's solar/electrical system and he's a wealth of knowledge in everything electrical. I had a wonderful stay.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Cheryl and Steve! They are so good natured and accommodating. The kind of people that leave everything better than they found it. Their place has everything you need to regroup and get on your way with plenty of confidence because you get an education here. We will be coming back to visit on our way back down south.
Our hosts were extremely welcoming. They taught us all about their little orange orchard and generously allowed us to pick oranges which were delicious! It’s a nice private and quiet spot. They were generous and kind hosts. A+!!
The company is amazing! As well as the wealth of knowledge these two have is unbelievable! You will enjoy conversations with them about a variety of topics. Plus if that wasn't enough there oranges are so sweet! Can't think of a reason not to come.
We had a wonderful stay. Picked some oranges and avocados. Also spent the evening chatting with our hosts and looking at their RV projects. Lots to learn from these two if you are interested.
There location and where you will meet them is in the back. The front house is a studio. Follow the instructions on their page so you look like a pro! I goofed and knocked on house door, but it was okay. Just do better than me! There lot is very accommodating and level! They have nice lights to have around your home at night so you will be well lit. I was about to knock out some long overdue projects with their help. He was so eager to help anytime I had a question he would stop and offer advice and educate me to the next level. Their knowledge on electronic/electrical is amazing. But more importantly their hospitality is next level! You will fill at home the entire time you are their. It was fun to walk the orange Grove, unfortunately I didn't make the time to go and enjoy them. Lovely stay
Great hosts and a wonderful spot! We had nice talks and also a lot of privacy in a charming citrus garden. Mr. Cooper, the dog, is well educated and quiet. We can recommend this location to every BDguest.
Our visit to Cheryl and Steve was short but we filled our fruits reserved, water, electricity, discharged extra energy of the kids. There is a rides and water park nearby that cost almost nothing if you reserved 4 days in advance. Like 10-15$ although it's 20$ if you don't! We decided we would not go since we were coming back from Legoland ans San Diego Zoo... Thank you so much for everything!!!!
Thank you so much to Steve and Chery! we stayed there 2 nights and everything was just perfect! The kids even enjoyed making fresh orange juice in the morning with the oranges they pick up thereself. Thank you again!
We had a good time at Cheryl and Steve's place. Definitely recommended. Coming from Canada, citrus trees were fun for us and the kids. Oranges taste way better in California than in Canada!!!
