My passions in this order are Sailing, fishing, knife sharpening & enjoying this Casita. I just bought the Casita (July '18) and decided that I'm gonna go see the National Parks in the next couple of years. Besides Tampa gets too darned hot in the summer months. Thank God for this website, because I was in a bit of a quandary over how I might pay for all those nights in campgrounds. Now that doesn't seem so daunting. I currently live in a small town outside Tampa. I sharpen knives as an avocation at area Farmers Markets several days a month.
Knife Sharpener - I normally carry some tools so that I can sharpen a knife or 2 should the need arise.
Yes - Tucker 9 yr old Cockapoo 10lbs Smartest, sweetest dog I've ever had. He has macular degeneration and very few teeth left. He's meek around humans he doesn't know, but the site of another canine gets his tail wagging. I rescued him from a puppy mill 7 years ago. When he goes through a doorway, I have to stand with my body in front of the door which tells me that he's had a door slammed on him. Can you imagine!
Sorry, but it's all new to me. I've done a lot of car & canoe camping throughout the Adk's, Greens & White Mtns.
This is a work in progress. Give me time.
Yes - The Bear Slides in Lake Luzerne, NY on the upper Hudson River. I think there are privy's & fire rings - it's been a long time.
The parking lot at Thirteenth Lake - smaller RV's only - it's a small lot. Beautiful Thirteenth Lake 200yds down the trail. Car top canoes /kayaks only. Great fishing if you hit it right. The Adirondacks are loaded with tons of great scenic boondocking sites many right on ponds. Look on Google earth. Again forget if your in a 40 ft'er.
It was Warrensburg, NY in the Adirondacks of northern NY. I lived there for 44 years until I sold my home last winter. I've been snowbirding just outside Tampa Florida for the past 8 years. I've decided to officially change my domicile to Fl this year. I'm currently living in a mobile home in an RV Park northeast of Tampa.

I was pleased make first acquaintance with this gentleman and his dog with their first stay one year ago. I have enjoyed hosting them ever since and am glad I can provide them with a quiet and safe respite from the road. Highly recommended as ideal guests to host, you will be pleased that you did.
Safe travels and stay healthy our friends!
It was good to host Mbertsche and Tucker again. He’s friendly, but quiet and very respectful. He’s always welcome to stay here.
Mbertsche was a very patient and pleasant visitor. He arrived later than he expected due to a misdirection from his gps but kept us informed of his progress. As we stated in our BW directions, gps seems to want travelers to use secondary (or tertiary) roads because they appear more direct but are not the best routes when driving a camping rig. We didn’t have much time to socialize after his arrival, but enjoyed hearing about his business and pleasure experiences. Fortunately the weather cooled enough that he didn’t need air conditioning overnight after the breaker popped (an unexpected occurrence that has since been rectified), and awoke refreshed to chat a bit and continue his journey. We enjoyed his brief visit and hope to host him again for a more relaxed stay!
This was the second time Tucker the dog came to stay a night at his pal's place. It was a pleasure to catch up with his person while RV and Tucker got reacquainted. The two of them are wonderful guests to host, we enjoy doing so. Others would as well.
Until paths cross again our friends, stay healthy and safe travels.
Really enjoyed having him. We let him use our golf cart to go to Diner and then he and my husband went again to Diner for breakfast. We learned lots of camping hints from him. Would love to have him back anytime!
He was very quiet while here and extremely respectful of our place. It was a joy to have him here, and we look forward to hosting him again any time.
Only talked for a short time because we got home late, but had a good time socializing. Mbertsche Had a great personality, enjoyed talking to him, Welcome back anytime travel safe.
Mark is a wonderful guest - quiet, friendly, and very interesting to talk to. His little dog is extremely well behaved, and very quiet. He is a professional knife sharpener and offered to sharpen our knives, but since we only have ceramic knives, we couldn't take him up on his very kind offer.
Mbertsche was a first-rate guest. He gave me his ETA and kept in communication with me. He was very respectful of my property, and he and his dog, Tucker, were very quiet. I enjoyed our chats and hope that he will visit again. He's welcome anytime!
It was a pleasure chatting together. We would absolutely welcome mbertsche and Tucker back for a visit.
RV approved leaving a very positive review for MBertsche and Tucker. They provided an ETA and arrived as expected. They settled in for a quiet nights rest, so quiet we forgot they where there. They would be welcome back at any time. Safe travels my friends!
