My wife and I are still enjoying our first date...after 31 years of a blessed and joyful marriage. We enjoy mountain biking, snow skiing/boarding, fishing, boating, sailing, camping, off-road adventures, overlanding, flying (3,700 hours as PIC) cooking and eating. No smoke or drugs...but do enjoy an adult beverage (all things in moderation...always!).
Kathy is a Microsoft Systems Engineer and works for a local computer company where she builds and maintains networking systems for large corporate clients. Travis is retired and is a RN (Registered Nurse) by trade, but has spent the past 20 years in administrative management managing various healthcare organizations before retiring in 2016. Travis also started a company that produced and sold Colloidal Silver. The business was sold to a national competitor in 2018 but Travis retained the right to produce and sell locally to friends and family. Nothing better that supporting the body with healthy, natural alternatives!
We are straight up and honest in all things we do. We are very physically active and enjoy being on the move! We have been blessed with an amazing life together.
Healthcare (standard and homeopathic) electrical, mechanical, plumbing...general repair.
D'Ogee, our dog. She is an Austrian Shepherd & Pit Bull mix. She is a working dog that sleeps during the day and works all night...very protective. She sleeps by a speaker so she can hear anything that is happening outside. She keeps company with our 10 pet backyard chickens (yes, they have names). They free range our 1 acre homesite on the River.
We occasionally will travel with D'Ogee. While a couple of the chickens are fascinated with getting in the car and either on the dash or steering wheel...we do not travel with them! LOL

2007 Trailmanor 2720 SL. This is an all aluminum expandable travel trailer. It tows at 20' and is 27' when open. After leveling, it takes about 60 seconds to open the trailer. Once open it takes about 2 minutes to set up the inside. It is fully self contained. The Trailmanor offers and amazing amount of usable space, is comfortable and because of its low profile when closed, tows easily. Plus a dry weight of 2,800 lbs for a 27' trailer is quite impressive as well! Our tow vehicle is a Lexus GX470. It is full time four wheel drive with hi/lo range. It is mildly modified to accommodate our off-road exploration adventures. Average MPG when towing the Trailmanor is 14.
Travis and his friend were great to have as guests. We had a lot in common and had some great conversations! I wish him the best and he is ALWAYS welcome back! Take care man!
It was a pleasure to have FlyboyTR as a guest. Their communication was fantastic, and were very easy guests to host. I would recommend them to any host!
Our guest and his friend were so nice. We spent several hours visiting with them. They were so interesting. We would be happy for them to return any time.
We spent 1 night at the Steel Magnolia on our way west. Travis and Kathy were so warm and welcoming. We had a nice dinner with them at a local restaurant and Travis had lots of great camper tips for these newbies to trailer camping!
This was our first experience with Boondockers and it was superb! Any place else we stay is going to have a hard act to follow! Such a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful hosts!
We travel each year 4-5 months and do a lot of boondocking. And sometimes we come at a Very special place: good communication, nice talkings, friendly people, Great and peaceful place, nice drinks and a good diner etc etc. Steel Magnolia has it all!! Kathy and Travis thank you so much. Hope to come again when we come back to the USA. Love, Johan and Loes
