We are avid RV'ers looking to try some Boondocking. Jose is 59 and Susan is 54. We camp in our Coachmen Chaparral 5th wheel.
We have a Bully/Harrier/Jack Russell mix dog and 3 domestic shorthair cats.
We live in Live Oak, Florida
We have a 2018 Coachmen Chaparral 5th Wheel coach that we haul with our Ford F-250 Diesel truck. Our coach has three slides.
Susan and Jose met us as we enter the property. They directed us to a flat spot in front of their home and we were supplied with electricity and offered water but we did not need water hook ups. We had an opportunity to talk to them in length regarding their past and only to discover that they hosted the very first person to came up with the concept of Boondocker welcome at their home and she offered them a little guest booklet so that as they could record their guests comments about Their stay.
Both of our hosts are Retired veterans and planning to see the USA. These people are so very friendly and will make you feel at home. Please visit them if given the opportunity. This is their family farm so you will be surrounded by kindness and friendly faces.
Susan and Jose greeted up as we arrived and made us feel like we belonged on their family farm. We were actually surrounded by her family and it made for the perfect afternoon. They told us that the women who founded the membership (Boondockers Welcome) stayed at her home and provided her with a guest book for all her guests to sign.
Fellow Boondockers come and enjoy this couple. Susan is newly retired and loves meeting and sharing experiences. Jose has been lucky enough to have retired early and enjoying life to the fullest. Both are veterans and met during a rescue mission (Susan literally rescued Jose). How cool is that story?
I can not say enough about how fun this was to be hosted by them.
A couple of friendly dogs greeted us as we approached. We enjoyed our short stay even though we were seeking a quick overnight on an urgent trip. I had a nice conversation with the host before we settled in for the night. We left early and did not see them before we headed out plus it started to rain pretty hard but would recommend them and would stay there again if we were coming thru.
The hosts were very accommodating and helped us find the right spot to park to use the electricity. This is a very warm family that goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Thank you Rodriguez's, hope to see you again someday.
Always warm and welcoming. A lovely property. We so appreciate you having us!
Short passing through stay .Wonderful couple. I enjoyed my visit with them.
They are very accommodating making stay very easy. It's a quiet peaceful area. Many springs near by .
What a beautiful, quiet North Florida location, surrounded by farmland! Our hosts were so helpful, gracious, and watched to signal us in the dark, despite arriving 1 hr later than expected. We had restful sleep.
This was our first time using Boondockers Welcome, and what a great experience! Our hosts were so friendly, and helpful. It was quiet and peaceful, and great place to walk or dogs around the cow pasture. A much needed break for us.
very nice people quiet peaceful place 3 very nice dogs that kept us company
Great place to stay. Very gracious host and hostess. Thank you for your hospitality
Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home .. we stayed 2 nights! Easy pull through site facing the cute cows !! Plus there is an amazing walking path right on their property.. Got to enjoy the thunder & lightning storm !! Great conversation & such a lovely couple hope you get out & travel soon!! Will definitely visit again such a relaxing stay ..
I was warmly met by both hosts, and guided into my parking spot -- easy entry/pull-through. Casa Rodriguez is located in an idyllic country setting. The views of trees and cows in the pasture are a delightful scene, accompanied only by the sounds of nature. Wish I could lingered another day!
Such a wonderful stay, quiet homestead in the country. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
Thank you so very much.
This trip was very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were gracious. I left an envelope for them on their car since they were gone when I left. Nice place to walk on trail in country. Thanks again to the hosts
We enjoyed our stay here. The host couple were friendly and welcoming.
Huge amenity for us was a mile long walking path around the outside of the cow pasture - unexpected bonus!
We’d stay again in a heartbeat!
Super easy in and out. The nicest hosts! And such a pretty area👍🙂
Thank you so much to the Rodriguez's for their wonderful hospitality. I got in a little bit late after dark and they guided me in. Offered me some apple pie :-)
The Rodriguez hospitality is second to none!
Our hosts communicated with us by text ahead of our visit, and walked out to meet us as we pulled in.
He guided us into his front yard parking spot, providing us with both water and electric.
They both engaged in friendly conversation with us, and introduced us to the very friendly family dogs.
We took a nice long walk out past their currious Texas Longhorns, and down the quiet country road both ways for a total of maybe 4 miles.
This was a quiet and peaceful country get-away...a nice experience:)
Thank you Casa_Rodriguez!
We had a great stay. Quiet, plenty of room, and Longhorn cattle near by.
They were great Hosts, very friendly. The dogs and cats on the property were very nice, especially Stormy. Highly recommended. We will return.
We had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful shady spot.... (sun was an option too). It's a quiet country location, easy to get into and turn around. Our hosts both greeted us and are very welcoming. It was a convenient stop for us since we realized we needed to be at the rally at Suwanne Music Park early the next morning. Thank you so very much!
Casa Rodriguez is a lovely place to stay. Our hosts were very accommodating, generous and friendly. They have beautiful cows with huge horns which were wonderful to watch and photograph. Their property has lovely trees for shade, or open space for solar. They were so generous about allowing us to park in either location. There are a couple of super friendly dogs that enjoy the days lounging and come over from time to time for a little snuggle. We have a large / tall rig and had no trouble getting in or out, and google maps took us right there. We would recommend this place to anyone and hope to visit again some time in the future.
Very kind folks ,enjoyed our visit with them.
Casa_Rodrizuez is an awesome place to overnight. The host are very generous and friendly. They both greeted us when we arrived and made us feel welcome and safe. Their place is easy to get to and is very quite for a good night’s sleep. We definitely recommend Casa_Rodrizuez to anyone and everyone who are members of Boondockers Welcome!
Casa Rodriguez is a serene and beautiful place. Was met by the hosts upon arrival and shown to a quiet flat spot right near the longhorn cattle field. The hosts here are wonderfully friendly and hospitable people. A true pleasure to meet them and to stay in their lovely location. Thank you for everything!
A 1-night stay while passing through the area. Kind hosts as always, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks for having us back!
We stayed here on our way through Florida! Such a gorgeous property and very friendly! Definitely reccomend staying here!
Met the Rodriguez’s as they came home from the hospital! Everyone was okay, thank God!! They were very nice and very helpful. Love the property and it was very quiet!!
We would love to stay again!!
Thank you J and S for letting us come a day earlier than originally requested.
We needed to get Away from the Snow ❄️❄️ and cold weather .

We arrived to welcoming hosts at a spacious location. They got us hooked up to electric and water.
We took a walk down their long driveway to admire the long-horn cattle.
We had great conversations and enjoyed exceptional hospitality from these friendly hosts. 🍷🍷🍷🍻
Thank you J and S ......we hope to come back in the future.

Our stay was SO nice. They pulled us right up to their deck, hooked up power and showed us their water. WiFi password so I could get some work done too!
Mustangs connected my husband with their mutual love for cars. They opened their fire pit for our use as well.
We will stay again on our return trip north!
We arrived to welcoming hosts and a beautiful, spacious Old Florida location. Hosts were helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed meeting them and visiting. This is a very quiet and peaceful location with exceptional hospitality and hosts were courteous of our privacy. We enjoyed our visit, were amazed by their long horn cattle, and had a truly wonderful night away. Thank you to our hosts! We will be back soon :)
Very thoughtful hosts. Jose lead me to a grassy area right next to their home. Had power to cool down my TT for my kitty. I was able to run the fantastic fan for a breeze all night long. They have the most beautiful long horn steer I have ever seen! Wish I had more time to get to know them. Maybe next time.
This is an easy in, easy out property. Jose and Susan delayed their plans to personally welcome us and direct us to the parking spot. We had a great peaceful nights sleep and in the morning Jose helped us out with a boost when we had a dead battery. Even our dog Timmy had fun getting to know some of the dogs and Long Horn cattle. Hoping to stay again next Snowbird Season.
The Rodriguez’s could not have been more welcoming and gracious. Even Spot gave us a warm welcome. Beautiful location.
Beyond delightful and worth the ten mile drive off I~10 to get to Casa Rodriguez!
I would love to go back and spend time with the hosts~
They were incredibly hospitable, accomodating and genuine in making sure I was set up comfortably~
Quiet, serene, wonderful place to lay my head down for a good night sleep before continuing traveling.
Easy to get to, host was very willing to help John out when we 1st arrived, as we had lost the keys to our coach. Town was just a short drive away, nice area. I was not feeling well when we arrived, a virus cold, & most of the time I slept, quiet & peacefully. We thanked them for our stay, as we continue north.
Waking up to the view of the longhorn cattle next to us in the field is an inspiration! A great wander around the perimeter of the fields.
And our hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
A lovely overnight stay. Thanks!
Boondockers is amazing. As soon as we got to the location we were welcomed with open arms and clicked with the hosts. Beautiful property, great location and great Southern hospitality. What more can you ask for. Did not want to leave. Thank you for a great stay. Sorry we were not at our best as we are suffering from allergies.
We had a very relaxing time with the Rodriguez’s they are a very nice loved couple. Loved looking at the long horns out my window would stay there again!!! They gave us our space and the hook ups were easy.
Beautiful property. Kind and hospitable. We had a lovely stay, a perfect respite between destinations. Thank you!
When we arrived we were met immediately by the hosts to show us where to park. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The setting was surrounded by trees and was very peaceful and serene. Even got pics of the longhorn cows for the grandkids. Thanks!
Lovely couple who hosted us on their beautiful domain surrounded by the watusi bulls. We would come back anytime.
Upon our arrival our hosts greeted us, wonderful quiet spot on large treed grassy area. Great night sleep.
We stopped for a night at Casa Rodriguez for an evening on our way into central Florida before Christmas. Because of their generous hospitality at that time, we wanted to stop for a couple of nights on our way out of Florida in early February. Susan and Jose, true to form, are incredibly interesting and generous BW hosts. The site they make available is very easy to maneuver to and the amenities are second to none. We enjoyed an evening of conversation about our life experiences and the opportunity to learn more about each other. We enjoyed the time immensely.
Thank you both for everything, We had an amazing time visiting your property and chatting with you! We will definitely stop by again if we are in the area and hope to hope we can return the favor someday. We will remember your hospitality!
Jose and Susan are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcome and still give you your space. The electric hookup was much appreciated! We will certainly be back when our travels bring us back this way.
If you're lucky they will make you some margaritas! ;)
Jose and Susan are two very funny and fun individuals to be around. They each have a great sense of humour, excellent whit, and an exceptionally welcoming attitude. Their ranch includes a number of dogs, long-horned cattle, and a very interesting and active mother-in-law is living on the property in a beautiful solar paneled home. We took a walking tour around the ranch, visiting with the cattle and finding peace and quiet here. Great people to meet. Great place to stay! We will try and return for a couple of days in the new year.
We had a relaxing experience at this location and would like to come back if in the area.
We recommend this host and location.
