Self employed, part hermit, lady, willing to try out boondockers.com. I recently bought a 2018 TAB Teardrop style trailer and having fun getting to know the ropes of camping and the “RV Lifestyle”. I keep my house in Portland, Oregon. I have a nice garden this year so the boondock spot is nice and green with grass and growing things. Your spot is on the grass with covered swing next to creek - very soothing. The spot is along side Johnson Creek with water and electrical hookups available. Dump station ($5.00 donation suggested) down a main road with easy access on surface street or 205 Freeway, with very easy access from 205 to my place. A slight angle down from street to gravel drive.
I enjoy a garden. There are a ton of blackberries so I make seedless blackberry jam, and can garden produce.
Yes, I have a very well behaved pit bull rescue named “Dipper” because when I first got her she would not stay out of the creek. Behaved dogs welcome. 2/3 acre fenced yard, with front gate. You can leave any household trash any doggie poop bags in the trashcan.
I have yet to try boondocking.
Portland, Oregon is home.
We really enjoyed our stay at Creekside PDX. The host is very warmful and generous, giving all the travel information we needed and even some produces she grows at her place! Quiet and peaceful, we spent a very relaxing night there. Thanks a lot! We highly recommend this place to boondockers!
Lovely yard and stream. Read in the swing underneath the plum tree. What a warm welcome here!
Awesome host, very friendly.
A great place to stay! Nestled away in an urban/industrial area, this little slice of old country living comes complete with a babbling brook, singing frogs, nearby happy hens. Lots of trees, gardens, and blackberries; with the homestead tucked away in the back. All this hosted by an adorable rescue dog and her lovely and generous "mom" who works hard to keep up this amazing place. We would love to come back and spend more time here.
LS is an amazing host who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Her host site is adjacent to a creek that is bordered by black berries and a plum tree which she encouraged us to enjoy. LS provided an electric hookup as well and we so enjoyed talking with her and meeting “Dipper Dog”
Lovely, lovely host with an almost magical place in a big city. Our 22 ft and 10 foot trailer fit perfectly. And guess what? WILD BLACKBERRIES! Told to pick to our hearts content..lol. Host also has a lovely plum tree that sits next to a creek with a swing on a pretty mat! Step out the rv door and a swing seat is ready for you. (see pic on this page for part of what I am describing). And a great game for you to play once you are settled......find the HOUSE! LOL! Thanks L for a beautiful time!
This location is beautiful and the host is wonderful! I loved the opportunity to sit by the creek and listen to the babble of the water. It was incredibly relaxing.
Creekside was a wonderful host. We loved chatting, enjoying the gardening efforts, and meeting Dipper the dog. We greatly appreciate how welcoming and kind the host was.
Some logistical notes: Our overall rig length is 24' on the trailer and 19.5' on the truck. It was snug coming in and going out but with a little bit of skilled manuvering, we fit! I personally would not want to try to park here in a rig much bigger than ours. However, that is just my personal preference.
Overall, creekside's host location was a great way to start our first visit in Portland!! Given the opportunity, we would definitely stay again!
