Just a couple of simple teachers, and a couple of kids to boot.
Computing, teaching, religion, foodies, motor home traveling. We LOVE national parks!
People friendly indoor/outdoor cat. She is not much for animal visitors so if you have a pet - she might just keep to herself. She comes and goes as she wants.
One of my favorites was a spot along an Alaskan glacier melt river just outside of Valdez. A local at the Exit glacier park reluctantly told us about the locals hideout away from the summer tourists. It was gorgeous, and the sound of the rushing water made for the best nights sleep ever!! The wife was nervous that I might get the 31' rig stuck. We did good!!!
Any free location is our favorite, and we make a game of avoiding the pay campgrounds because we don't stay more than a night and don't typically need any amenities. When we were noobs, our worst was paying $55 to stay at a KOA near Rushmore from 10 pm to 7am - yuck.
Cedar Lake, Michigan
2000 Fleetwood Jamboree 30 foot with on slide on the drivers side (does not need to slide out). Fairly good condition. We love to travel.
We so enjoyed hosting this family at our farm! There was no trace of them being there when they left. The children were very well behaved. We would welcome them back any time!
We liked them so much, we welcomed them back again. Only got to chat with Todd this time, as Lynette and kids stayed inside. We love having return guests!
This family was very respectful. They left my place as they found it and they are welcome back any time.
Todd-n-Lynette were very pleasant. I enjoyed visiting with them, though due to timing & scheduling, it was brief. Didn't get to meet with the kids, but that also tells you they were quiet! Wishing them safe travels!
We didn’t have the chance to visit with them as we had other house guests at the time and they were only here for a short time. They were considerate, double checking with us to make sure they were parked in the right place. They would be welcome back anytime.
Nice people, glad to meet you Todd-n Lynette hope the rest of your vacation was great!
We really enjoyed hosting Todd and Lynette and their lovely children. They were very courteous and respectful of our property and we very quickly connected and had wonderful conversation. They decided to spend an extra night, and we were able to enjoy a nice campfire and more conversation. We would be more than happy to host them again, and look forward to seeing them again one day.
Todg9850 , a very nice couple i am happy to know; . nice to speak with them Lisette
Its Always so great to meet good friendly people like them, it was a pleasure to host them, we hope they come our way again, there so much we can share.
A very quiet place to get a good night’s rest. Lynette and Todd couldn’t have been friendlier!
Easy in and out. Great kids and conversation. Will be back when in the area.
This property is amazing! Easy access, convenient location and fields as far as the eye can see for the dogs to run free! A very accommodating host round out this perfect place to stay!
We enjoyed our time here at Peaceful Place. Our hosts were very warm and inviting. They welcomed us and we all chatted for awhile about traveling, RVing, etc. They gave us an electric hook-up and a nice level spot to park. After our initial welcome we didn't see each other the remainder of the weekend, as they were busy and we went out exploring. Great little spot in the country with small towns nearby to explore. We even spent one afternoon kayaking at Six Lakes, which we enjoyed. With a local farmer nearby selling fresh produce, milk, ice cream, and more. We would stay here again. Thanks to all of you for being such gracious hosts!
We used the Peaceful Place as a hub for a couple nights while we biked and explored a different part of the state. The area is really beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Host’s are super nice and accommodating, offering fresh water and electric if we had needed. Definitely was a very pleasant experience.
The hosts and their family live in a quiet farming area. We especially enjoyed all the greenery. Great family. We enjoyed conversations with them. Kind and thoughtful.
This was a very lovely rural area of mid-Michigan within 3/4 mile of the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail - paved 40+ mile rail trail. I enjoyed talking with the hosts and sleeping under the dark sky and absolute quiet found at their home. My dog appreciated the open fields/woods to run and sniff without worry of traffic. This area is interesting and perfect if you want to cycle/walk the Heartland Trail - mid-point at Edmore just down the road. Not far from Alma or Greenville if you need to shop - I highly recommend a stop along the trail at Riverdale. I hope to be back again!!
Such good people. I didn't want to leave. I wish I could have met the whole family! It would have been so great to chat over a campfire about awesome camping experiences, great recipes, Alaska, the National Parks, etc. but the weather turned too cold for that. I was warm in the camper, however. I will definitely go back; it was a lovely stay. These are the kind of people you miss and want to see again sometime.
We enjoyed our conversations with Todd-n-Lynette. Our spot was nearly level. With our 34 foot motor home we drove up the driveway and then turned around, with just enough room. A nice, considerate family!
Can't wait to get back to the nicest people in this cute little community. Great food. Great conversation and felt at home there.
This was our first BW stay so we didn't know what to expect or do. Todd wrote back very quickly after my stay request and let me know what to do, where to go, and how to pull/back in. He also responded to my other questions right away.
Upon arriving, they welcomed us, chatted for a while, then offered for us to walk around their property and enjoy the sights. They have a BEAUTIFUL property in the midst of farm fields, which was extremely quiet and peaceful.
We rode the Heartland Trail the next day, had a wonderful time seeing the local attractions and history. After returning, we had an evening discussion with Todd & Lynette that we thoroughly enjoyed. We learned a lot from their suggestions and experiences, and will definitely remember them and our stay.
One of their suggestions was for us to visit a local restaurant called "Daniel's Kitchen". We are VERY happy we did, as the food was delicious, healthy, and the mission of the restaurant heartfelt and outstanding!
The hosts offered us hookups if we needed them, and even though we didn't, we are thoroughly grateful for the offer.
We highly suggest staying with this host family, we will definitely return when we are in the area. :-)
Thank you Todd & Lynette for your hospitality! :-)
Mark & Jeanette
Wonderful hosts in beautiful setting!
Thanks for the plug in and warm hospitality.
We enjoyed our stay, very nice family. Doing God’s work in a deserving Acadamy.
Thanks so much for allowing us to use your driveway while passing through. We literally did not see a single soul while at your place. We were asleep by 10, and slept in till 9. In the middle of our 10 day excursion through beautiful Michigan, the rest is exactly what we needed. We loved visiting with your kitty who was a proud guard cat, once she checked out our truck camper, we felt like she was protecting us through the night. Our peaceful property is open to you any time... hope your vacation to Colorado was as good as ours.
Even though we only stayed one night, we had a nice stay at this pretty spot and enjoyed some nice conversations with the hosts. They were super friendly and helpful! Thanks for a great stay.
The only shortcoming is that their cat didn't like me as much as I liked her! Otherwise, Todd and Lynette were such gracious hosts, and they've raised some great kids, too. We talked and talked and I've rarely so enjoyed the company of super-fine people.
Lovely piece of property with plenty Of parking options. Todd n Lynette were delightful hosts. This property is far away from everything. Nice place to get some work done!
