We are parents of adult kids, now getting to travel together in our new disability friendly rig. We enjoying life, nature, and meeting new friends. We have been islanders, homesteaders, organic farmers, and teachers during our parenting years. We live an environmentally conscious life, believe in leaving a small footprint. We like to help out, weed the (organic) gardens, or maybe help mend a fence when friends need a hand. We are private and self contained, but enjoy visiting too, when it's mutually convenient.
Terry is a multi-skilled carpenter/builder, Journey is a talented cook. With our organic farming and homesteading background we have lots of skills to share. Terry has experience in all the construction sub-trades, plumbing, electrical, a little mechanics as well... he's pretty great at fixing anything! Now specializing in green/environmental building and tiny homes/ homes on wheels, looking to add to his knowledge of alternative energy systems. Together, they have a wide body of knowledge about organic farming and living, environmentally safer products, materials and methods; they previously presented educational seminars on these types of topics and love to share their knowledge.
We have two much loved pets dogs that travel with us occasionally
Not yet, as we are new to Boondocking, but we are looking forward! We love mountain and beach environments. We're looking forward to new places and new faces, deserts and canyons, badlands and good company! :)
Our Motorhome is a Ford F450 frame with an Eldorado custom disability access camper.
WildeDockersy where our guests for 2 days, along with their 2 nice dogs. They are quiet, friendly and full of respect for people and property. Because of Covid19, we had to socialize a bit, outside, and maintaining a social distance, having a nice conversation and drinking a glass of wine. We would recommend this couple anytime and they are welcome back if they ever want to boondock at our place. All the best and be safe.
This lovely couple are welcome to stay with us at anytime. It as a pleasure to have them.
These WildeDockers are MildDockers (in the nicest way). By that I mean, they are quiet, kind, and a pleasure to have around. They are welcome in our driveway anytime they want. Mr. WildeDocker knows his way around to hook up water hoses without assistance, and Mrs. WildeDocker made my little ones the most precious coloring book with crayons tucked into the binder pocket. The images were from a kids story she had illustrated. The kids we're so thrilled, I had to immediately makes copies on my printer. They are good communicators and keep you updated if the head into town during their stay. Thank you, WildeDockers for being our first boondockerswelcome.com guests! See you next time!
Again Terry and Lily were model guests. They mainly keep to themselves, and that's okay! As before, they left my property as clean or cleaner than they found it! I wish them the best of luck in their future travels!!
Terry and Lily we very nice guests! They kept their site clean and picked up everything when they left. Unfortunately we didn't get to chat much in person due to Lily's medical issues, but we hope to see them again and hope we can socialize more next time. They are always welcome here at Boondock Canton! Happy and Safe travels Terry and Lily!
Great location, so quiet and peaceful. Awesome hosts, thanks for the stay!
We've enjoyed our 2 night stay at WildeDockers' property.
The property is on a quiet road and super-close to amazing trails in East Sooke Regional Park. Make sure to check out the Coast Trail there for (IMO) some of the best views on the island.
Due to COVID and busy schedules we've only got to socialize with WildeDockers' a little bit. They are amazing hosts and we hope to be able to meet them again :)
Great place to recharge and re-energize! Super remote and wild. Loved it !
We appreciated Wildedockers quick response in providing us a place to park for the night on our way to Port Renfrew, waiting out the rain. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to connect with them as they are in the middle of construction. Still appreciate their hospitality. Thanks
Very kind, friendly and accommodating hosts. Very quiet even if we parked at the dead end street. Closed to hiking trails where we had a nice view of the ocean. We did 2 bike rides by using the Galloping Goose Trail which were wonderful. Thank you for the great stay!
Very friendly host having a keen interest to make our stay enjoyable.
Thank you 🙏
We stayed 4 nights with our 30 ft motorhome. We were parked on the very quiet street. The hosts were super nice offering us power and water. There were great hiking trails in walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
WildeDockers were accomodating to the changes we made to our stay, not once but twice. They were welcoming and offered us electricity. We were able to view the outside of the home, they designed and are building themselves, which has unique detail and alot of character. We would enjoy seeing it, once it is completed.
Very responsive and accommodating. Remote site, but we still had cell service unlike other locations nearby. A deer visited us in the evening. We were especially grateful for the power boost!
