My husband and I met in college. We both entered the USAF and eventually retired as LtCols. Along the way we had two children, now aged 23 and 18. The eldest is in college and the other is busy researching colleges.
I've always loved gardening with an emphasis on edible plants and flowers.
I like making things myself. I make jams and dehydrate garden produce. I also like making fermented foods. I enjoy sewing.
We have experience doing DIY stuff: we've laid tile floors, wooden floors and even installed wood on stairs, built a basement bar, and installed closet organizers, painted walls and ceilings. My husband has lots of experience painting cars.
We live in a suburb near Washington Dulles Airport in northern Virginia.
We have a 20 foot class B camper van. We aren’t towing anything.
Very friendly. A great first experience as a host, and would definitely welcome them back.
We enjoyed hosting debsails at the barnyard. Friendly, quiet, considerate guests that we would welcome back anytime.
This delightful family with two camper units stayed at my Boondockers site on July 1. They seemed to enjoy our small town and were a pleasure to visit with. Would welcome back anytime.
After having several cancellations of other folks’ reservations, we finally had these folks stop in as our first boondockers guests, and the experience was delightful! Great conversation was shared, and somehow we ended up receiving some high-quality almond brittle to boot! We had no issues whatsoever.
