We’re the McKnights from York PA, mostly retired (except for a few volunteer commitments) and spending half our time on the road. We’ve been camping since 1960’s when we were pup tent purists, scoffing at big rigs wedged in next to our humble abode. Through the years we’ve slept in backpacking tents of various sizes, adding air mattresses at some point, and eventually cots. In 2013 we took a big step up when we graduated to a truck tent for our month-long trip to The Badlands and Beyond.
It was a fabulous trip and our arrangement worked so well that we did another month long trip in 2015, this time following The Great River Road from the headwaters of the Mississippi down to New Orleans. May proved to be quite chilly and damp, and we decided that if we wanted to continue camping, especially in the off season, we needed to upgrade our accommodations a bit. When we discovered Oliver Travel Trailers, it was love at first sight. We usually travel for three months, and go home for three months at a time. Works well for us, at least for now.
I have a blog, https://travelswithollie.com
Love the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine CA and Big Bend National Park in TX. We also love staying at the many and varied BW host sites.
"Ollie" is a fiberglass travel trailer pulled by a 2014 Ford F150. No slides – just a bike rack on the back.
This may be a duplicate (I thought I already posted a reference). Travels With Ollie are great people who have been boondocking for awhile. They knew their way around their rig and were setup in a snap. Very considerate and friendly people that we would have loved to get to know better if not for COVID. Will be monitoring their travels via their blog.
I hosted J and R (Travelswithollie) for 3 nights. I found them to be very friendly and appreciative of their host. They are certainly welcome back anytime they wish and hopefully I will have my floating dock back in the river for their next stay.
It was our absolute pleasure hosting this delightful friendly couple. They enjoyed the " NATURE COAST" visiting different springs around the area and Cedar Key. They loved the sights the river has to offer. Janie and Russ are very considerate and appreciative and we would welcome them back anytime.

Travelswithollie have such a unique rig and are so incredibly friendly. We didn't get much time with travelswithollie but enjoyed the conversions we did have with them. We look forward to them returning and stopping by when Charleston delivers better weather.
First BWD for there up coming trip. Enjoy, be safe and have fun. Welcome back anytime!
Friends from our distant past just happened to request a stay. Imagine our surprise when we found out we already knew each other. Such great guests and wonderful to catch up! Great travels!
What a wonderful couple, you will enjoy a visit with the two of them. There is still good in the world, and we find it when we look,. We social distanced our visit, due to Covid, and still had a lovely time.
Such a nice couple. Enjoyed our visit even if it was short. Safe travels home!!
Didn't get to meet as we are in China and they only stayed one night just communicated via email. Nice couple and I have a bit of camper envy.

These folks were very friendly, no trouble, and are welcome back anytime. Great people.
They were great guests. They left the place like they found it. They are welcome back anytime.
We really enjoyed having travelswithollie staying with us for a few nights. Had the chance to share RV travel experiences over a tea around the kitchen table, and these are adventurous active travelers that enjoy their travels and the RV lifestyle. We hope that our paths cross again in the not to distant future and they are always welcome to stay with us at our BDW site.
Being under the weather, I was not much of a host, but they were very understanding and self sufficient. Hopefully next time we can get to know each other a bit. They are welcome anytime.
We so enjoyed hosting travelswithollie! They are such a fun friendly couple with a wonderful sense of adventure. They are so warm and friendly that we joked that they must have Canadian east coast ancestors...they fit right in here! We truly hope that they travel this way again soon...they are more than welcome to visit any time.
We unfortunately weren't able to be here then, but hope to meet them down the road. There was not a trace left behind, welcome back anytime. Maybe a longer top next time?
Really enjoyed meeting them, they are welcome back anytime !
Enjoyed visiting with Russ and Janie. They left the site just like they found it. They are invited back any time.
We had a wonderful time with these Boondockers. Great communicators and quiet visitors. They are welcome back anytime.
Wonderful time hosting this couple. They would be welcome back anytime at my location and would be a asset for yours.
Travelswithollie are the thoughtful and considerate Boondocker guests we have come to know! They are welcome here anytime. Dale enjoys helping and visiting..... Thanks!
Glad to have crossed their path. Enjoyed having them stay with us!
We enjoyed their time with us. They would have been welcome to stay longer if they had wished.
Janie and Russ were a wonderful guest, so friendly and appreciative, like minded people. It was fun getting to know them. Maybe one day we may see them again in Pennsylvania.
The McKnights were wonderful guests and we enjoyed hosting them. Great to visit with and even got a tour of their trailer "Ollie". They are always welcome back!
It is so inconvenient to social distance when you meet such a nice and interesting couple. Based on their blog, we are sure that they would have some great stories to share.
We wish them the best on their journey and hope they pass this way again.
