I'm a mental health professional who enjoys the outdoors and meeting new people. I'm so excited to have recently made a career shift that allows me to have the summers off and I plan to enjoy them fully with a combination of traveling with my spouse, family, friends and sometimes on my own. I'm new to RVing but it has been a long-time dream. I've already learned so much!
Basic metal smithing and jewelry making, cooking, experienced in teaching mindfulness/meditation skills
I have a dog and a cat and the dog may be traveling with me.
Still too new at this to know...
Atlanta, Georgia (20 years) Milford, Connecticut (3 years) -- but the most recent!
2018 Forest River 2251SLE class C motorhome that is 24 feet, 3 inches without a tow vehicle, but likely to have a hitch-mounted bicycle rack that extends a foot.
I enjoyed meeting Rockett-Pad very much. I hope to visit them on my way east next year, and they are welcome back any time!
We had a lovely visit with MH, she was very independent and easy to host. Safe travels!
MaryHelen and her adorable niece were awesome guests! We were invited in their RV for a quick visit where I learned she is new to RVing, traveling all summer (lucky!) and that we were her first BW experience. We talked about RVing and routes and where to go to escape this oppressive heat we are experiencing in Texas (106ºF in mid-July!). The conversation was easy...felt like talking to an old friend. Meeting folks like this reinforces that signing up for Boondockers Welcome was a great idea!
We absolutely had a wonderful stay at The Rocket Pad! Our hosts were very friendly and also very accommodating to us. We would highly recommend this spot and will be back again, I’m sure!
We are so grateful to our generous hosts for their hookups and kindness, and it was great getting to know you a bit better one of the nights! Thank you for everything!
Simply put - this couple took care of my family like we were rockstars! Not only were they available to answer every query they invited us in and were happy to extend our stay.
There spot is just blocks from the ocean and a ferry ride to Long Island.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
We loved staying at Rockett Pad. Our host was so accommodating and kind! The Rockett Pad is located in a beautiful town with cute shops and places to eat just a short walk away. It is also very close to the beach and it was lovely walking down to the shore while we were there. A cute and cuddly cat who is friendly and playful lives at the Rockett Pad so if you are a cat person you will be delighted. I really enjoyed playing with that little guy! We can't thank our host enough for his kind hospitality. Hope to be able to spend time there when we are back in town. Thanks so much!
