We've been married for 19+ years, have 3 children, and have always camped. We've camped in a tent for many years and even with our first child as a baby. We then graduated to our 8' pop-up tent trailer and travelled all over Western Canada with our 3 kids. We graduated to our 31' travel trailer with 3 slides this year because our kids are getting bigger and we needed something we all fit into...and now we can shower in our own space (camp showers can be questionable at times). Now we can camp comfortably wherever we want...the sky is the limit and we look forward to many adventures.
We like to think we have lots of experience with camping, but we also know there is a lot to learn in our new rig. We are a health professional & entrepreneur, and a professional courier, with 3 kids. We've camped and travelled extensively throughout Ontario, Canada and could probably offer great advise on places to camp, stay, see and explore.
Yes, we love our pet family. Currently, we have an Australian Cattle Dog who stays with us even off leash...don't worry she does walk on a leash but gets real sad when we put her harness on. We do have a house cat, but currently she doesn't travel with us....someday, in the future, we hope to train a cat to travel with us and be dog friendly too...but that is still many years away.
Well, since this is our first rig, we haven't boondocked yet. But our favorite place to camp is at Pinery Provincial Park located on Lake Huron 1.5 hours southwest from us. If we camped there now, we would be boondocking (dry camping) or it might be a combination of electric & water but no sewage (dumping stations near by). So, we will go explore and let you now more when we've been somewhere.
We live in small town called Baden in the Southwestern part of Ontario, Canada approximately 1 hour from Toronto Airport. Our closest major city is Kitchener and makes up a large part of the tri-city area of Kitchener-Waterloo Region which includes, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge. We are approx.30 minutes from Stratford, Ontario which is home to the famous Shakespeare Stratford Festival Theatre.
