After spending 22+ years in computer support for Landmark Worldwide, a global training and development firm, it was time to retire. We purchased our rig and began living in it 1 month after I was done. A year later has seen some change - my wife has returned to stationary life, leaving me and Rita, the wonder dog, to roam the country, Along the way, I renewed my love for music and have been playing guitar and ukulele with others where ever I can! Not much of a performer, but never afraid to try!
I've fallen in love with the land. The county. The things we've done as a people to build our society. I'm on a bit of a mission - to search out guitar makers and watch them at work!
Computer skills are a little rusty, but I can teach....play guitar and ukulele. Can hold a conversation without resorting to invective, insults, or arrogant defense of my positions. And can manage to cook a couple of dishes that others can eat as well.
Rita, my 6 pound Chihuahua/Terrier mix, is a rescue from San Jose, CA who is probably 5 years old. If we are out of the rig, she usually rides in a pouch with me that relieves her anxiety (and mine).
I'm officially a Texan, imported from the East Coast by way of 30 years in San Francisco. I winter at my daughter's home in Kingsland (in the vicinity of Austin) where they have a hookup (and I will suggest they become hosts).
A gas powered, 2005 Georgetown XL, 37 feet long towing a 2014 Nissan Versa. Except for my 6 pound Chihuahua/Terrier mix, I'm the sole occupant. Of course, there are the musical instruments....
What a fun and pleasant duo. I enjoyed my time with them and they are welcome to return anytime.
endeavor was a real friendly man traveling our great country. Not to forget, Rita the wonder dog. A quiet loving dog. Both were great guests and welcome back anytime. Hopefully for a longer stay so we can hear him play. Wishing them safe travels.
Richard and Rita, rhe wonder dog, are enjoying their rest and recuperation while traveling the states. Fun visitors.
A pleasure to host this friendly guy again! Plays a mean 12 string!
Richard was a great guest. Wish I had had the chance to listen to him play a tune or two on his guitar...or ukulele...or whatever strikers his fancy! Sweet little "Rita the Wonder Dog" was pretty cool, too! Come back again!
