I am retired after a career at the University of North Florida as a professor and administrator. My wife is retired after raising our three children and then teaching at Florida State College at Jacksonville as an English professor. We are life long tent campers until we purchased a class B campervan two years ago. Now we travel in the RV, and it is really enjoyable. In addition to traveling, we enjoy spending time with our ten grandchildren and our three children who all live close to us. We enjoy the beach, riding bikes, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
My wife and I enjoy spending time with our 10 grandchildren. She is an English teacher who loves helping the grandkids with their schoolwork.
I am a life-long DIY person, and I enjoy woodworking a lot. I especially like making furniture, cabinets, and keepsake boxes. I have recently become more interested in hand tool woodworking, but I use woodworking machines too. I enjoy maintaining our home, and helping our children by fixing things at their homes. For the past two years, I have been enjoying DIY projects with our RV including making tables, curtains, and extra storage spaces for the rig. I also like to do small repairs on the RV as needed.
We don't have any pets.
We usually stay in state parks at sites with electricity and water hook-ups. We have also stayed in campsites and driveways without any hookups. We are looking forward to boondocking more often, and our rig is a Roadtrek Zion class B with everything necessary to boondock, driveway, camp, and/or dry camp. Our favorite locations to camp are in Florida and Georgia. We have also traveled to Nova Scotia and Northern Minnesota. Our next long trip will be out West to Colorado and Utah.
Our hometown is Atlantic Beach which is near Jacksonville, Florida.
Our rig is a 2016 Roadtrek Zion. This is a class B campervan built on the Ram Promaster (Dodge) chassis.
