By the end of an extremely wet camping trip on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, everything was soaked inside and out. Swore we'd never tent again - it was time for something dry with solid walls. Never looked back. We have explored and have traveled through much of Western Canada and the Western States.
We are a family with a computer software programmer, a teacher/volunteer, and a high school grad who sometimes travels with us. We love to play sports, games, watch movies and shows like Amazing race and Survivor (from all the countries that produce them). We are music fans and our heads are filled with music and trivia. In addition to road travel, we enjoy tropical holidays and cruises and have forced our child to take extended holidays (and miss some school). Interests include technology/computers, animal issues, culture, history and language, art, yoga, fitness, hiking, spelunking, rocks, minerals, shells, fossils, and reading and relaxing on a beach. Enjoy, cooking, baking and especially eating. gardening, harvesting and processing - canning, making jam, dried fruit, and fruit leather. We also enjoy spending time with a large extended family for numerous gatherings.

Didn't get to meet them because we were away. Good communication. Happy to host them again.
We enjoyed having them come by. Very quiet, hardly knew they were here. And we did have a nice visit with them the morning they departed.
Thanks for the kind words about your stay with us. And, for the fruit.
Thanks for the jam ! See ya when you get time for Powell's Books next time.
We loved meeting this couple, and had a couple fun conversations. The fruit topping they gave us is delicious! We look forward to seeing them again.
A pleasure to host this family. Wishing them safe and sunny travel.
We didn't get much opportunity to visit with this twosome, but we hope they will have the opportunity to stay with us again. Thanks so much for the compote. Does it come with refills?
It's great that locals take advantage of Boondockers Welcome as well. I hope you'll come back and and explore even further. Welcome anytime!
We enjoyed hosting kcd and would welcome them back anytime!
Wonderful folks, they were respectful, quiet and fun to chat with. The left the area just as they found it and I always love it when people wind up the electrical cord with my bad back that helps me too. Their daughter made the most wonderful hand colored thank you card, my favorite of all time, and I was welcomed on the first day with big smiles and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. Flowers are always a girl favorite right?! They are welcome anytime.
Thank you to kcd.on.the.road for the beautiful bouquet. We had a wonderful visit with these kind and thoughtful guests. We welcome a return visit anytime!
They came in just before dark since it was a hot week. Enjoyed visting with them and exchanging travel information.
They stopped for an overnight on their way through. What a joy to have around. We had a campfire and I must tell you, if you want the worlds best roasted marshmallow, look no further! They were so good I even had seconds. I don't normally even like marshmallows, these were INCREDIBLE. Welcome back any time.
Very very nice and polite family we totally enjoyed our first real boondockers. We throughly enjoyed being able to hel a fellow traveler and hope we can help others on their way to wherever they are headed. Safe travels kcontheroad ❤️
