My husband is a slightly obsessed fly fisherman and the rest of the time he is a musician. I am an artisan working mainly in hand made felt. We both love camping and I have talked him into fishing our way across Canada in a kind of slow meander to the Maritimes. It will be a first trip for him to see the rest of Canada. Between us we have 3 languages English, Japanese and French.
I'm a Felter and dyer and have taught these skills. For more information see my homepage www.makersiki.com . I'm a longtime organic gardener and will be missing my garden so I'll be happy to help out. I'm also a hobby herbalist and interested in the plants around me for their uses as food medicine or craft. My husband is a great cook, especially fish (me, I do low carb desserts) and as a Jazz musician is happy to jam with others.

So, we just got our tiny diesel, 4x4 1993 Mitsubishi JB500 motorhome after months and months of looking for the right vehicle to fish our way across Canada in. It is amazingly small and yet has a tiny stove/sink/fridge/toilet and shower. We hope that the extra battery for inside use will charge nicely as we travel so that we won't have to use our 'shore' electrical hook-up . As it is only 17ft long (although about 9ft high) it can park in any parking space. In good weather we like to cook outside on a Coleman camp table and have the awning out so that would take up more space.
We enjoyed hosting this couple and happy they were able to enjoy some fishing and relaxation. Great conversation. They are welcome anytime
As we were also travelling, we didn’t meet. But we arrived home the next day and all was well. Great guests. Excellent communication. Happy to host you again. Safe travels!
These two are the cutest couple and very laid back. Didn't even know they were here.
Glad you were able to catch a fish for your supper, can't get much fresher than that.
Had a lovely first time experience with SockeyeandCoho. They are people after my own heart. Kindred hippy spirits living the dream. We will always remember our first!Best of luck on your x Canada trip.....
