Love adventure! We started RVing summer 2018. Most of the year, we sail the US, Canada, Caribbean & occasionally the Great Lakes. Between the last day of skiing in our home town of Ellicottville, NY and the beginning of the next ski season, we will be sailing somewhere between Greenland and the South American continent. In the spring and fall between home in Ellicottville and wherever the boat happened to spend the winter, we load up the truck camper and go to see the sights in between, meet other campers and sailors and enjoy the ride. Love music, ethnic food, animals, meeting all kinds of diverse people, and our wonderful planet Earth. . We are AIRBNB hosts at our ski chalet in the winter. It's such fun!
Can “shade tree” solutions with you if you need a hand with a repair or install. Don’t let me do electrical on your RV/trailer! Deb is the sailboat Captain. She was a wining sailboat racer for over 37 years. And she can really sew... just about anything. Can also join in your musical jams with keyboard, guitar, and we both love to sing.
Nemo, a black short hair cat, has been with us since we saw her “I need a home” poster in Ashtabula, OH in 2014. She has been with us to over 25 states and five other countries. She loves sailing with us, cuddling in front of the fire at our ski chalet in the winter, and lying in the sun on the boat. Nemo shares our adventures with us but she always stays in the RV when we travel by road- she’s very shy. So she never goes on the property of any Boondockers host.

In the winter Ellicottville, NY, an hour south of Buffalo, is a drinking town with a skiing problem. The rest of the year it hosts golfers, bicyclists (both road and mountain bikes), hikers on the Finger Lakes trail, etc. From Allegheny State Park to Zoar Valley and canoeing/kayaking/rafting on Cattaragus Creek, whether physically demanding or serenely peaceful there is a lot to see and do in the area. In the winter, we return to Ellicottville and work / ski in the two ski areas in town. But since we live aboard our sailboat most of the year, that's home too!

My only regret is I was so busy trying to get a building closed in before bad weather, I had little time to spend with these two world travelers/ sailors!!!
They made several offers to help on my building, but I was not at a stage anyone else could help.
Come back anytime!!!
Great folks who must like each other more then Laura and I. No way could we stay it that small a space and both make it out alive.😎 Happy to host again.

Lovely couple with some great travel stories. Neat, quiet and respectful of neighborhood and host. Welcome back any time.
These folks are exceptional guests. They are friendly, and respectful. We so enjoyed our conversations with them. They are welcome back any time.
Definitely would invite them back. They were only here for an overnight. The birds were louder than them!
We thoroughly enjoyed having DeborahandJohn stay with us. Easy to talk to, much to learn and seasoned travelers and Boondockers. They struck a perfect balance of being respectful and friendly. The perfect guests, we hope our paths cross again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit! John and Deborah were full of enthusiasm and adventure. THAT was a visit that could’ve gone on for days...but the open road and the sea have a call that’s hard to ignore
.
We had so much fun it was really a lovely evening..so inspiring to them telling me of their travels all over the world.
I hope we meet up again soon.
I some how missed this review in a timely manner. John and Deb. Where no maintenance guests that are welcome back. I only saw them briefly due to our seasonal black fly problem.
A very nice visit and great conversation ,they have a lot of travel information to share.
Very nice couple.
Deborah and John reached out to me for a site to camp at when their tow vehicle began having issues. I myself was out of town, but i offered the spot to them. Turns out, we have a mutual friend in MA. Such a small world and this is why I love hosting and being hosted. I'm looking forward to meeting them in person one day.
We look forward to see them the next time around in the area!
Great couple enjoying time doing what they like! They already have their next stay with us booked! Looking forward to have them around again!
We enjoyed chatting with this fun loving couple. We spent a few hours together exchanging stories and really had a good time learning about their adventures. Look forward to seeing them again.
life is about experiences..and both john and Deborah..have had lots of great memories..enjoyed your stay would like to see you guys next summer when your down this way again..safe travels
When we were contacted by this guest, our schedule wasn't the ideal, we were not going to be at home when they were scheduled to arrive... The guest seemed to be soo sypatic that we decided to leave them stay even if we were absent.
When we arrived, we thought there was a problem and they coulnd't come, the place was just exactely like it was when we left, not even a little garbage bad in the trash can !
I hignly recommand these great voyagers and hope to have the previlege to meet them sometime.
Friendly, courteous guests. Wish we had more time to get to know them.
We had great conversations on multiple subjects. They are great boondockers, welcome back any time!
It was great to have Deb and John here for a visit and chat. We hope to see them again.
Happy traveling.
They had originally "booked" time with us. We were looking forward to sharing stories and info but, as things go, they did not have the opportunity to stay. We did meet and certainly want to welcome them at any time.
