Great place to stay. An amazing view of the harbour is to be had. The hosts, although not present, were always very responsive when contacted.
We did not have the opportunity to meet our hosts as they were in France; however, we did meet his delightful mother and grandson. The site has the most beautiful view of the entrance to Sydney Harbour where we watched the NFLD ferries and cruise ships enter and leave port. The site is across from a graveyard, but I must admit the occupants were very quite. The site is on a busy road, which has a good deal of traffic but it was quiet at night so that we got a peaceful sleep. I would recommend this boondocking site to anyone wanting Cape Breton hospitality and wonderful vistas.
Although we didn’t get to meet our host, we enjoyed our 2 days there. We walked to an old wwII site, next to a nice beach. Only 5 minutes to the ferry terminal, so very convenient!
Easy to find this grassy parking lot overlooking the bay - room for my Class B -- and found 3 nearby parks/beaches/nature trails to walk my dog off leash. Right on down the same road to the Ferry Dock in North Sydney - took me maybe 15 minutes. Thanks for the quiet and safe place to spend the night.
Great spot, very convenient to the NL ferry. Our hosts were gracious enough to have us stay even though they would be out of the country. Would recommend this host and would stay again.
With great views and close to the ferry there isn't a better spot. Talking with Bob was great and we hope our paths cross again. Would definitely stay here again.
