I am a retired engineer, and Bekah and I travel to explore, visit and dance. We love meeting new people, and we get to know people at contra dances, international folk dances, English Country and Scottish Country dances around the country as we travel. We also are outdoors people, we love nature and natural settings rather than city crowds or rv park crowds. We travel in a motor home with bicycles attached rather than a tow vehicle.
Bekah and I have both been trim carpenters, she also has worked as a cabinet installer, odd job contractor, and yoga instructor. She renovated a fixer-upper house. I worked as a factory engineer, and I restored numerous vintage buildings on a homestead farm including rewiring and replumbing the house. I enjoy building and coding electronic IoT projects.
We have Mijo, our big gold color mix who still has puppy exuberance around people. He stays in our motorhome almost all the time when we travel, since he loves it more than anything. He always gets excited when we load the motorhome ahead of a trip.
Topaz Lake Nevada is a half hour south of Carson City Nevada, a village of a few hundred just a mile from California, at a gorgeous four square mile lake framed by foothills and snowy mountains. It has the feel of a mountain village. The homes are mostly second homes and retirement homes, a quiet destination setting for recreation like fishing and boating. All the homes are on a half or one acre lot and on a slope above the lake so everyone has a great view.
