Daniel is a woodcraftsman and appreciator of arts, being semi tone death allows him to just enjoy music without the critique. Rachel on the other hand has a lovely voice but getting her to sing is a miracle, Rachel is also more career driven than Daniel, as Daniel burnt himself out in the landscaping industry.. We are just trying to navigate life to figure out what is the best use of time, is building a traditional career or traveling and encouraging people along the way, or a combination of all the above.
Daniel is a Handyman generalist. Not licensed in any of them but a good basic understanding.
Rachel is a linguistic, although she will never admit it.
newbies as of now
currently we reside in Newport News, VA. Oddly enough very distant relatives help to build this town, we have yet to meet them, but there is a point here that shares our name.
2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Conversion Van. Height about 9'6 and bumper to bumper about 22'. No pullouts. Generator is no longer on hitch.
We loved meeting this couple! They are an inspiration to anyone who seeks adventure and wants to travel. Wish I had done what they are doing at their age.
And they were a big help with a shop project I have going. On balance I think we are the major beneficiaries: all we provided was a flat spot. But this wonderful couple came and shared stories of their adventures, their optimism and sense of adventure and wanderlust - all of which was very contagious!
Hope they can come by again; and we hope to share a campfire on the road with them someday!
So great to meet such a friendly and helpful person. It was as if he was a family member. Hope he comes our way again.
Dan and Rachel stayed with us three nights. Despite our busy schedule this time of year, were were able to talk with them some.
Dan even volunteered to help me with a small home project. THANKS, Dan.
We be happy to host them again if their travels bring them back this way.
They are always welcome back. Came and went without any problem except I think they left money for the utilities. We never take anything so I’ll pay them back the next time they come thru. I wish them the best and envy them getting to travel so young.
This team had good communication. They were able to make them selves comfortable without leaving a footprint. They offered $ for our suggested donation for hookups and even supported our yard birds, by buying some of our eggs!
Their rig is cool and imagineered by themselves!
Safe travels on the road! Welcome anytime.
This remarkable young couple are wonderful guests, flexible, polite, congenial, and thoughtful.
When your original plan is to offer others a parking place, it turns out that they actually were the ones who bless you with their visit.
They are so quiet that you won't really know they are there unless you check to see! They will be some of most self-sufficient, interesting, and enjoyable guests you have hosted !
Their visit brings a fresh new face to "the traveling lifestyle", and a great insight into today's younger, eager, thoughtful adventurers. If they happen to come your way, I hope you will have the pleasure of getting to enjoy knowing them, too!
After chatting when he first got here, I barely knew he was there. Glad to see the 20s crowd realizing that they don't have to just buy a house and have kids right away, there are options to see the world.
Daniel and I had an interesting but short conversation after he arrived. He was gone when I opened the blinds this morning. I do hope both he and his wife visit again on their future trips through Ohio.
Daniel and Rachel were great guest. They were very polite. They were very quite coming in after there late drive in movie. Had a nice conversation and exchanged looks at each of our rv's. Would definitely host again.
We always enjoy crossing paths with this kind couple. Their van is so cute and cozy! They built it themselves and it’s very nicely done. They guided us to this website and we are very thankful for that. Can’t wait to see you guys again soon 😊
