Like camping in N.Y. and Ontario, Canada. Lin and I have a lot of Canadian friends we have met at our Florida home. I have and enjoy Hot Rods, chasing big block racing (SDS), golf/ hacker, bicycle riding, and the outdoors. Lin and I own 75 acres. Ten acres are dedicated as a family, camping area. It has about 5 dry camping sites. This area has a Class D fishing stream with a shallow 4' "L" shaped water fall. Linda is a California transplant and we are now retired. I worked for Window and Door MFG. I came from the dairy farming industry, 4 years in the Air Force and worked in the mill work and sales/repair industry. We have 3 adult children, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
We have lots of Grand Dogs, some on the weekend.
Summers in Mannsville, New York with winters in Spring Hill, Florida.
Forest River Berkshire with Chevy Equinox on a car dolly.
I never imagined our stay at a BW would be so wonderful and peaceful! Jrlr1969 invited us to stay right in the peninsula near the waterfall, and showed us around his beautiful property. He gladly offered us water to fill our tanks, and the bathroom he built for visitors was such a special and welcome touch. :-) He invited us to dinner, and even let my husband help with some chores around the property, which he absolutely loved! He was there every day making sure we felt at home and asked if we needed anything, and even joined us at the campfire one night for some personal fellowship.
Our original plan was to visit the local area and ride our bicycles, but we loved this BW site so much that we never wanted to leave. We played in the water, took walks, and just sat enjoying the ambiance of the beautiful area. We loved hearing stories of the area, the history, and fish! This host was more than accomodating, wonderful to converse with, and I would recommend this stay to anybody who wants some peace, quiet and some down time. It will definitely do you some good.
Thank you so much jrlr1969, we really look forward to our return to your cozy "Redden's Falls"! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
This was our 1st Boondockers experience and it was awesome! jrlr1969 were super accommodating as this was a last minute stay. Our hosts helped me get into a very nice and flat spot. The hosts came down both nights and we sat around the fire chatting and had a great time. Heard a lot of local stories as well as some from their travels as 'Boondockers'. jrlr1969 get an A+++ from my family, and I definitely recommend them if you are going through this area! The boondocking spots down by the creek were perfect. All the spots are on the creek, which our kids loved playing in. If you like sleeping with the windows open listening to the water flowing, this is for you.
In short A wonderful place to boondock and a gracious host. I was in a hurry and just looking for a place to boondock close to where we were the night before.I did not take the time to look closely at the site when I asked to stay there. When we got there the site was just little bit of heaven. Easy drive in to site easy leveling and easy back to the road for my 31 foot RV. Thank You Jack and Linda for a wonderful first time as Boondockers Welcome guests. Thank You Boondockers Welcome for this simple idea that works so well for people that just want to travel.
What a great introduction to bw. Everything i needed was right there. It was a safe, quiet, comfortable evening. So glad to have met Jack and see his great spot. Thanks
Jrlr were so welcoming to us and made us feel like family right away. They were so helpful to us -since we are newbies. We loved walking around their property and visiting with them. They really made us want to go back again and we look forward to be able to do so!! ❤️
We are sad to leave this gem of a Boondocking location! Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay here. Jrlr1969 were very gracious hosts. They are friendly, laid-back and just good people all around! We enjoyed our socially-distanced conversations and fire-side chats. The fact that we could have electricity and water hookups on their property, and also walk right across the street to play in the stream and see the beautiful water falls at their private campground was truly amazing! Our favorite boondocking station so far! Our 5 yr old was in heaven! When we weren’t playing in the falls, we took a day trip to Thousand Islands (about 1 hr away) and we spent another day at Sandy Island beach (only 15 mins away). We are so grateful to have stubbled upon this amazing place and couldn’t have wished for better hosts. Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful people and beautiful property. I felt just like I was at home with my parents. The host are just really great people. They showed us such unconditional generosity. Made sure we were comfortable and we felt at home the entire visit. I can’t say enough good. We will be back and hopefully stay in touch.
Thank you both so much!
Jack was a wonderful host even though we could only chat about 10 minutes as I arrived under pretty heavy rain. Will come back for sure to meet again.
We had a wonderful first time Boone docking experience at Redden’s Falls . Our host was warm and inviting , even inviting us in for coffee after arriving. Our camping spot was peaceful and amazing. We camped beside a rolling stream and waterfall with salmon laying in a nearby hole. JR came down several times to check on us and gave us many places to go check out. He gave us great directions to Niagara Falls, which we really enjoyed. We will definitely be returning!
We only stayed one night but wish we had more time to stay longer, jrlr1969 was so accomadateling and friendly. Had a nice time chatting around the fire. Good times.
Very friendly and helpfull.
Gave us the best way to our next destination avoiding bad roads.
Thanks again Jack.
The owner was welcoming and helpful. We had a great one day stay.
Super friendly host. Beautiful area. Would love to stop here again. Waterfall your was amazing.
This has been out favorite spot so far, out of 10 stays completed. Right next to the water fall! You can't beat waking up to your own private waterfall. The host truly just wants to share his little slice of heaven! He came down and sat by the fire, swapped stories, and was so much fun to talk to. Thanks for making it a special memory for the kids, they won't forget this spot anytime soon! @homeadrift
When I signed up with Boondockers Welcome, I never imagined I would be able to stay at such incredible locations. Each one has been uniquely different from the last and the Redden's Falls location was astounding. My host greeted me and I followed him to the entrance of his boondocking parking area which was essentially in a forest. He helped me back my rig right up to the edge of a stream just below a small waterfall. I was in HEAVEN! He had fabricated a fire pit, provided a mountain of wood and even built a structure with a REAL flushing toilet! The sounds of the stream were very soothing and the next day, he arranged for his friend to take me Salmon fishing since they were spawning. As a back-country pilot who spends entire summers in wilderness areas fishing daily for my meals, I was ecstatic! He set me up with men's waders that were five sizes too big and men's 8.5 size boots which were double the size of my foot. I looked a bit clumsy....but I was ready to go fishin! I followed his friend to their secret fishing hole and we had a blast. Caught some salmon and laughed all day! After fishing, my host invited me into his home when his lovely wife just happened to be making dinner and she served all of us biscuits with sausage and gravy. Not being a big cook, I LOVE home-cooked meals. Later that night, he came down to the camp spot and joined me and a boondocker family (known online as "homeadrift" and we enjoyed a campfire and marshmallows. Gotta say, that was a memorable experience I will never forget!
Great stay with wonderful hosts. Visited several times with the host but his wife was not feeling well. He has a great set up below his home but we chose the upper area for electric. Our rig is really low and weren't sure if we'd drag down by the falls. If not raining and I had not been a bit under the weather would have enjoyed sitting at the campfire with other BW folks.
We enjoyed the area so much. .
A really great place the water falls are just magic. Gypsy (cat) gives it 4 Paw's up.only had a short time to spend with the host as he was away most of our stay
Really nice and had a lot of advice about The area
Wonderful hosts and awesome location! We loved falling asleep listening to the falls. Nice, quiet and secluded area was a joy to stay at. Great location quick to highway. Our host was most helpful and made us feel welcome from the start. Enjoyed a campfire with him and some s’mores. He gave us great ideas of what to visit while we were there, though we really didn’t even need to leave the property it was so lovely!
Loved it here!
Great place to stay with wonderful people. Hosts were very gracious. The area down by the stream and waterfall was so peaceful and serene. It was hard to believe you were only a short distance from the Interstate.
Mr. Redden is very gracious and helpful. Our spot was down by the Creek by a step waterfall. Fun to walk around the Creek. Shady and out of the sun. We will be back soon. Thank you.
I had a very nice visit at the Redden's Falls at Jackson Creek.
It is very beautiful, but private & quiet location.
I enjoyed several conversations w the Host & a few of his friends!
Yes, I would enjoy staying there again!
The owner is very accommodating and gracious. He is a fellow RVer and checked on us a couple of times after we got settled, but other than that, he left us to do our thing. He has a couple of options for spots to stay actually. The spot by the waterfall, at the time of this anyway, does not have electricity. It is very wooded and a nice little spot but it is down a bit of a dirt road hill to get to it and it made me a little nervous to drive down in our 32' Class C. However, he does have a spot beside his house that was perfect, level, and even reachable for water with a long hose to fill up and he may even have electricity (30amp) available for you. We did compensate him for electricity usage during our short stay and really appreciated the connection. Nice property and area. Would love to stop by again some time.
Thanks for the stay!
Cannot say enough good things about our hosts. They treated us like family.. They gave us information on places to go, took care of our two dogs and even invited us to a Wiener roast .. Great Boondockers stop. They let us stay in the yard since we had some electrical problem’s with our coach.. We wanted to stay by the waterfall, but it didn’t work out for us.. But did go to the falls. Very beautiful!! Thank you both for all your hospitality.. See you in Florida in the fall..
Pulled in late in the day and was greeted by a most welcoming host who took the time to show me the camping spot and guided me all the way. I set up camp on a peninsula overlooking a waterfall. The next morning the host came to see if all was ok and we chatted for a while. This was my first time staying with a "boondockerswelcome" host and I could not have been any happier. What can I say. . . the experience was delightful.
Good simple directions made the stop easy. Jr met us and was very helpful and accommodating. We got water at the house and Jr took us down and showed us the big grassy area down by the creek where we discussed all the options on where we could set up. It’s a beautiful secluded spot that’s very peaceful and our rescue beagle loved playing in the water. Parking right next to the creek was just wonderful. There’s also a screened gazebo overlooking the creek that we used one evening. We had a nice conversation with Jr and Lr the morning before we left and are looking forward to them stopping at our spot the next time they decide to head south.
What a great place! Host has to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Will be friends forever! Provided us with every service needed and even loaned us his car. Wow. This stop deserves a 10! Oh yeah, awesome Creek and waterfalls
Great location and host! Couldn't have been a better intro for us to Boondockers Welcome!
The title says it all. Words can hardly describe the beauty and solitude of camping in your private park, creek and waterfall included. Communication with the hosts was excellent as we made arrangements for arrival. jr met us and showed us the way to the falls, down a steep windy tree-lined lane. He helped us park and met us again in the morning to help with other matters. Did not get a chance to meet lr as they were off on adventures of their own. Highly recommend "Redden's Falls at Jackson Hole" and hope the hosts might one day visit us in Kansas.
It’s like having your own personal camping spot. Super amicable hosts. If you are in that area, do not hesitate to request your stay.
We had two very peaceful nights at Redden Falls. This location is one of the best that we have experienced so far using BW. Jack recommended several places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed touring Boldt Castle and Sackets Harbor Battlefield. Fun times sharing stories over pie with hosts. We will be back again, God Willing.
We had the pleasure to stay on night at Redden's Falls. Because of the rain we stayed near their house. It was a nice level grassy spot. They have a 40amp outlet if needed. We were received with a very nice welcome. We did not get to stay at the falls but got a guided tour in the morning. Wow! it's like being in your own secluded private campground. If your in the area, it's worth stopping by. You will not regret it.
I’m not sure you can ask for much more than what we got here. We were nestled in the middle of the woods, with a big bling brook all around us. An open spot for our solar panels to do their job, and as much peace and tranquility as anyone could ask for. This is a true boondocking location, where you’re off the grid. We loved every minute of it. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful.
We had planned a stay, but unfortunately had to change plans at the last minute. Communication was great and quick through the whole process, we look forward to crossing paths at some point soon.
