Tired of sleeping on the ground in a tent and after a wonderful trip around New Zealand in a rented camper van, we decided to join the RV community to explore North America. We just bought a 1999 Roadtrek to do so.
I was delighted to find Marianne's website as we travelled this way in New Zealand.
Bob and I are active seniors who enjoy skiing, biking, canoe/kayaking ( we just ordered an inflatable kayak to go in our RoadTrek rather than trying to get our canoe up on top...)
To see more about me and what I do check my website www.maggieglossop.com
Our cat Oliver stays with friends in the country when we travel in "Trek"
A couple of years ago we took a wonderful trip from Ontario out to the west coast of Canada and then down the coast to California, across into the 'four corners' and then back up the east coast to home spending almost 3 months on the road and meeting some wonderful Boondockers.
Since then health issues, which don't hold us back, but prevent getting out of country insurance keep us in Canada - but there is so much to discover here that we don't find it a problem....
Ottawa, Ontario We live in an apartment building - with a small visitor parking lot so can't offer a boondocking site....sorry !
We have a 1999 RoadTrek 190 Versatile - Class B It fits almost anywhere...
Bob & Maggie are inspiring, kind and have a wealth of stories to share. It was interesting that Bob's ancestors came from Huntsville and his Grandfather was the mayor in 1916. We learned that Maggie is an textile artist and avid kayaker. Would love to have them back anytime. Fully intend to visit them in Ottawa. Thanks for the visit.
Enjoyed our visit.
We gave them a tour if our little lake. Enjoyed a glass of wine together.
Maggie gave me some pointers for wool felting as she is a wonderful artist.
Welcome back any tine!
Very much enjoyed hosting Maggie and Bob! We took them for a Boat ride on Fox Lake and later a glass of wine and hot tea.
Maggie chatted about her felting art and shared her expertise.
Pleasant and interesting conversation.
Welcome back any time!
We hosted Maggie and her friend for four nights. They were a pleasure to meet and hopefully we will see each other again.
2 nights is not enough to get to know people like Bob and Maggie. Please come and stay again just for a visit. Parking is always open if you need the space.
Doug and Terry
We hosted them for a single overnight stay, and really wished they could have stayed with us longer. Bob and Maggie are very nice people, and we thoroughly enjoyed the small amount of time they spent with us.
Even though our visit was brief, we consider them friends, and they are welcome back at any time.
If you get a message from Maggie and Bob you really must have them as guests. Spend a little time and enjoy.
They stayed one night and I hated to see them go. Any time you get to spend with them is uplifting..and a blessing.
Hope to see you again in our travels..
