Casper Wyoming. Spend summers in central Wyoming and winter in Az
Nice quiet place to stay. We had business in Tucson and stayed for 2 nights. It was an out of the way location. Beautiful country. Thank you Donna
Donna graciously contacted us after someone else canceled and we were very happy to have had the opportunity to spend 2 nights at her lovely place. She met us upon arrival and directed us into our space and quickly got us set up with electricity since it was almost dark when we arrived. Our gps led us down the wrong path, so do check with her concerning the exact location. Although it's nearly 2mi to the Saguaro Nat'l Park trailhead, my husband and I walked to it with no problems, but be careful because drivers speed like crazy down Picture Rocks Rd! Or better yet, just take your car or RV to the parking lot/picnic area! We hiked for 4 hrs in the Nat'l Park and only encountered one other couple. Beautiful vistas well worth the effort. Also of note, there's a Family Dollar within walking distance of her house to resupply if needed. We'd definitely recommend a stay at Donna's.
Host was all smiles as she welcomed us. She is gracious and very knowledgeable about the local restaurants, camping, hiking and more. This was a perfect two night stay right on the border of the Saguaro Mountain Park. The site is perfectly level with hookups available. Quiet neighborhood, I fell asleep each night to the smothering hoots of some local owl. Would love to come back.
Our host told us an interesting story about her brother who has an historic wagon train business in Wyoming. He and his family take people on wagon train trips on wagon train routes of the 1800's.
In the 90's they went from Independence, Missouri along the Oregon Trail to the Pacific Coast. She showed us photos which were amazing.
Her place is next to the Saguaro National Forest West and not far from the Living Desert Museum. It's also close to Tucson for shopping, bike riding (Sweetwater Preserve is great for Mountain biking), etc.
We loved this beautiful site on the edge of the Saguaro National Forest and our wonderful host. So far, the best Boondockers Welcome stay of all! Thank you, Donna!
Easy access to Tucson, right inside Saguaro National Park. I had to cut my visit short and only stayed one night, but it was quiet and had beautiful landscaping. Donna greeted me and helped me navigate into my spot, but after that I did not have an opportunity to talk with her, but that was because I had to leave early. I appreciate my great host and highly recommend this Boondocker.
This host and site are amazing! Close to incredible hiking and biking. Our host is fun, kind, knowledgeable about the area and prompt. The site is beautiful, and quiet, and we even had a hooting owl one night. We’ve loved getting to know our host. Thank you!
The communication with Donna was fast and good. Stayed here for 2 nights. The location is Great and the sequoia np and museum is in her backyard! We had a wonderful time in this lovely area
Donna’s Host picture doesn’t reflect well the Donna we’ve met. She is very (I mean very) active, knowledgeable about the area and RV traveling, and, so friendly. She should be paid by the Tourism Office in Tucson for accurate advises she gave us; we’ve learned a lot from our visits at the Desert Museum (so many species of animals and plants living in the Desert), also at the Old Tucson Studios and got few tips to pursue our trip. She insisted for us to stay one more day to go harvesting Pecans with her and friends; not having a fix schedule (like she said), we agreed. We finally stayed 5 nights instead of 4.
You are done with us Donna; each time we will eat a Pecan, we will think of you … for the rest of our life. Our stay was peaceful, instructive and so easy with Donna. Thank you for your devotion and warm welcome.

Ms. Donna was warm & made me feel very welcome, she greeted us as we arrived, introduced herself & introduced us to her fur babies. She showed us where to park. She gave me directions to an appointment I had in town the next day. Donna's home is at the end of a quiet road, yet she is not far from any amenities one might need in town. The area surrounding her home is very beautiful! I am so thankful to Donna for allowing us this stop over where it was peaceful & I felt safe & relaxed & could sleep well.
Donna is an excellent host! We planned to stay 2 nights and are still here, going on night 3. The location is great and as she advertises she has room for 3 rigs with full hookups. We opted to dry camp, and our 30 ft 5th wheel is nicely tucked into an additional driveway surrounded by bushes and trees, so it feels very private, with a view out to one of those incredible desert peaks.
Donna is a warm and welcoming person, and knows a lot about RVing in this area, as well as in a lot of other areas. We are newbies, and have really appreciated her years of experience RVing all over the southwest, as well as her knowledge about what to enjoy in Tucson.
She invited us to join her ATVing in Saguaro National Forest, and we did! She and her friends stopped along the way to point out different desert plants, introducing us to the desert environment. They also took us to a petroglyph site, and waited while we hiked up to the site to take it all in.
We can't recommend Donna enough! If you are in this area, definitely stay her! 5 stars Plus!
Nice tucked away spot with Saguaro National Park and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum practically in the back yard! Donna greeted us the morning after our arrival, inviting us to RV with her and telling us about a local musicians gathering that evening. If we hadn’t run into longtime friends, we may have taken her up on her offer! Thanks for allowing us to boondock on your lovely space, Donna!
This was our first stay with Boondockers and a very positive one. The location was perfect for checking out the Tuscon area, and the neighborhood was quite and safe. It's super close to great hikes in Saguaro National Park West. Our host was very nice and gave us ideas on what to do and other areas for boondocking. She also invited us to go ATV riding with her for a small fee. She had water and electric hookups available for a fee as well. We stayed 4 nights. A great option if looking for a home base to explore Tucson.
Host is very nice and had a great fenced yard for my dogs to play in. Convenient to Saguaro National Park West.
Donna was great! Her place is super close to Saguaro National Park, which is why we were in the area. It was pretty convenient to Tucson as well. We enjoyed our stay!
Donna was incredibly knowledgable, from what was in the area to see and do to helping a with an electrical problem on the trailer. She was very kind as a seasoned RV traveller to a couple of newbies! I would highly recommend this as a stop if you are visiting the Tucson area. Thanks Donna for everything!!!
Great place to overnight. Saguaro National park is just minutes away. We didn't have much time to talk to Donna but she did greet us as we arrived and had great suggestions on things to do in the area.
Really enjoyed our stay with Donna! She lives in a beautiful area near the Saguaro National Park - great scenery! Her place is quiet and peaceful with plenty of room to park our motorhome. Donna is very familiar with the local area and had many useful suggestions as far as places to visit, best routes, etc. Had a great visit and will definitely look her up if we’re back in the area!
