My husband and I own acreage outside Seattle about 20 miles. We are both originally from Montana. On our land you can see deer, coyotes, bobcats or bear. I retired a few years ago after a 35 year career as a CPA mostly in the nonprofit sector. My husband is a Seattle firefighter and hopes to retire in 2019. We bought a Class C RV in 2017 and hope to travel throughout the United States and Canada.
Preston, Washington a small town just off I 90 about 20 miles east of Seattle
Class C 24 foot Diesel Sprinter, One Slide out, 11 feet 3 in high
We would not hesitate to host "mlingelkdumont" again...friendly, very pleasant. Great communication and didn't know they were here! We had a nice visit when they arrived! :-)
This was a nice quiet place to stay and very peaceful. The site is surrounded by beautiful trees and is a very nice place to stay. The host was very friendly and came out to greet us and make sure we were doing fine. I hope to stay here in the future.
Such a beautiful and peaceful place. The host were so kind. They suggested places for us to go in our travels and we have put them on our schedule. The place they have for you to camp is very level and not too hard to get in and out of. The road in is skinny and steep but we had no problems in out 30ft RV with a 17ft trailer for our car and motorcycle. Definitely worth a do over if we ever make it back to washington
So very peaceful and helpful! Great directions provided and they still met me at the bottom of the hill to make sure I made it up ok as it is a bit narrow! I was welcomed with great conversation and offers to help set up! After some conversation of area trails and wineries she went up to the house, unbeknownst to me and printed off several area trails! So nice! The picnic table was really nice to have dinner at as well! Location is ideal to so much and at the same time you sit surrounded by quite and nature. Lovely spot and would definitely recommend!! Thanks so much!!
Beautiful secluded spot off I90. Very comfortable and convenient and incredibly secluded for being so close to the interstate
This was my first boondocks welcome host experience. The host provided excellent directions and greeted me with a friendly smile upon arrival. I immediately felt welcomed and sensed a pride of ownership that you cannot find in a public campground or private RV park. The property had a woodsy feel to it, which is well maintained. I was instructed to park my RV in a private area located away from their home. I loved that there's a picnic table beside my parking space because I love eating my breakfast outside in nature. I enjoyed staying at this perfectly level ground with quiet surroundings, friendly host location.
Mlingle is a great host and most helpful! Great quiet place surrounded by trees near Snoqualmie falls .. I would recommend it !☺️
Beautiful spot in a very quiet place. Lots of wild flowers and wild life. We saw a coyote! Easy to get here, follow the directions and not google maps. Had no problem turning around with a 25' rv with a small trailer.
Our hosts were very welcoming. We loved the quiet spot with just the sound of chirping birds.
The drive up is indeed steep as the hosts indicated with some blind turns but we had no problems getting up with our 31ft 5th wheel and the spot was nicely leveled and even had a picnic table.
We would love to visit again.
This was our very first Boondockers Welcome experience and our hosts made it a pleasure. Preston Woods was our base camp for 2 nights, while we attended college graduation activities for our son. It was even more beautiful than the pictures and description! Both nights were very peaceful and it was wonderful to wake up surrounded by trees, lush greenery and wildflowers. The directions to get there were precise and easy to follow and pulling in and setting up was a breeze. Because our schedule was packed, we were only able to meet one of our hosts briefly, but she was very kind, understanding and welcoming. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend it!
We greatly enjoyed our quiet stay on Marcia and Kevin’s property. They have 11 acres in the forest on the top of the hill at the end of the road, and they were extremely gracious hosts. Would love to camp in their beautiful forest reserve again if we ever get the chance.
A couple of the most welcome people I’ve ever met! Amazing property with great proximity to Seattle. If you stay here, follow the instructions coming in, they are detailed and very helpful.
Beautiful place and such hospitality from our hosts! Very sweet couple that loves their home. The place to park our rig was level and surrounded by forest and friendly deer 🦌. We hope to stay again in the future. Thank you!
Access road was a little steep to start but no biggie. We did not encounter another vehicle on the way in but it would be a little tight in spots if we did. The site was a little rocky but surprisingly level. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgable about the area. Preston is fairly small but Issaquah is nearby and has everything you could possibly need to resupply or enjoy a night out. Plenty of good hiking trails in the area. We would definitely stay here again.
Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Site was very level and quiet. Great hikes nearby including Issaquah which is a cool town. We would definitely stay there again.
After greeting Marcia, we quickly found a nice, level spot for our motorhome. The nights were quiet, the sleep was very good. In the morning, we enjoyed the beautiful forest scenery and the privacy. Marcia and Kevin were both very friendly and helpful. We're very glad that we stayed at Preston Woods!
I delighted in sharing your property with you... especially the forest green and overall natural ambiance. I hope we get to meet again as families. May you enjoy your continuing adventures.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kevin and Marcia's. They were friendly and accommodating. Their acreage is in a beautiful forest and very quiet. Our site was large, flat and private. We appreciate their hospitality. We hope to see them again the future.

Preston was ideal for visiting Seattle and Snoqualmie hikes. Hosts were very helpful and interesting to talk with. Our young kids loved the acerage.
We had a fantastic stay at Preston Woods. They welcomed us with short notice and even met us at the end of the road to block traffic so we could easily get through the narrow road. Our space was private and served as a great base camp for our adventures to Seattle and Redmond. Lots of things to do within 20-30 miles. We enjoyed some nice conversation with our hosts and highly recommend them. Thank you for your hospitality!
