We have had an adventurous life together. Ruth and I started together in a pickup truck camper traveling the country in the 70s after I returned from the service. Ruth is an R.N. and has finally retired. I worked as an L.P.N. , store proprietor, etc., but closed the store to start our adventure of traveling again. We still have our building with apartments and retail space which we are interested in divesting ourselves of so we can keep on rolling. My username Elymusicman refers to the music store that we owned and operated for 20 years. My important position in the band is “audience “ because, what’s a band without it?
No longer with us but still in our hearts.
Our sweet old dog, Ruby, a Boykin Spaniel, who requires nothing but love, her meals and treats and an occasional walk. She’s deaf so we keep her on a leash because she can’t hear the commands that she followed so well in the past. She’s climbed mountains with us but now she enjoys sleeping on the couch when we venture off.
She now sleeps in doggie heaven with her mom Stardust.
Home is where the wheels are. We’ve lived in Minnesota, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Colorado and California with stops along the way.
1996 Pace Arrow Vision and a 2008 Smart Car. Affectionately called Bumblebee and the Hive. No slide outs.
I was not able to meet Elymusicman, but we had great communication, and there were no issues for their stay. They are welcome back any time!!
Loved their RV. Took me on a tour and educated me about their equipment. They were so nice to me and my dog. First night here they treated me to a scrumptious dinner. Very considerate and quiet. I hope to see them again any time they are in my area.
These folks are adventurers like myself and we had a very nice visit. The FHU was occupied when they arrived so they got to stay on the 3/4 acre lot by themselves. (I have lots of boondocking ops). They are welcome to revisit anytime they like!
We enjoyed their visit and it was nice to be able to sit and chat for a while. We got to discuss some of our adventures and a few other interesting topics. Maybe we will have a chance to catch up with you next time we go through New Mexico.
