We had a wonderful quiet night at Susan’s beautiful site. We were welcomed by phone since our host was in Savannah. We parked next to the white building where we had water and electric. We met up next morning for a rushed hello/goodbye. We would definitely come back if in this area. Thank you Susan.
We have enjoyed our stay here immensely. It is not an understatement to say that our host has become a friend and like family to us in the short time we've known her. She has been so generous with her time and property - not to mention being a great cook. She is great company and has a wealth of stories from her travels around the world, and Savannah, as she was raised locally. We were happy to help her out with her garden and on her RV. She also has lots of good ideas and insights about RV life. The location is worth the trek to sleepy Pembroke, with several acres of land and deer sightings in the mornings and afternoons. There are many mosquitoes and other bugs and lizards (August), but nothing too severe. This Boondockers Welcome visit will be hard to beat and we will definitely be back!
We stayed at Eliacres for two nights. The spot is 30 minutes from beautiful Savannah and 1 hour from the beaches of Tybee. The nicest thing about this spot is the host. Susan is so welcoming and nice. What an interesting woman! She invited us for an Indian dinner where we shared good wines and stories. We hope she come back to Montreal and visit us. Highly recommend this spot!
