I stay at home with the girls and teach ESL on line. My partner is a professor (who will be on sabbatical). We are a close-knit, fun-loving family with deep ties to our community and a desire to connect with people in the US and around the world. We are excited about and open to new experiences. We are creative. We love animals and playing games, friendships and traveling.
We know Spanish. We have pretty good tech skills. We have pretty good people skills. We are good at having fun and a bit competitive. We've traveled a bit. We aren't really experts at anything but fairly well-rounded.
We are leaving our two small dogs, two cats, chickens, and turtle at home this time.
This is our first trip doing this boondock thing. I think it's awesome and I'm happy and excited for it! We are going to be in the road for about 3 months, making our way all the way up to Alaska, but we are on a tight budget so we hope this enables to carry out this little dream. We will both be teaching on-line as we go.
We currently live in Carrollton, GA, 45 miles west of Atlanta. We have been here 5 years. I grew up on a farm in Central Kentucky. My partner is from N KY, or the greater Cincinnati area. My family moved from Chicago area when I was a small child.

We were glad the D-Kfamily stayed two nights so we had a chance to visit with them. We have enjoyed all our BW guest's children, but none more than these two delightful girls. The D-K crew is welcome back any time.
Wonderful guests. We have enjoyed all the children we've met through BW, but none more than these. To echo the other referring hosts, they are welcome back here any time.
Family was great. Kept to themselves and were very gracious. Two girls entertained our little dogs for a bit. Hardly knew they were here!
Great communications; kept me updated on their arrival time. Quiet and respectful. I'd be happy to host them again.
Would have liked to get to know this family better. They're welcome anytime.
Sorry these lasses had some initial trip-changing engine problems so only stayed one night; we hardly knew they were here (the kids were so quiet we thought they hadn’t been brought along!) Our gateway entry ramp was a challenge to their low tow-bar but we managed… Happy Travels!
Great guests - courteous and quiet - on a big brave journey across our beautiful country - would welcome again anytime.
We greatly enjoyed hosting this delightful family. We enjoyed the strawberries they gifted us as well.
