We are a family from Washington state. I'm a horseshoer taking time off due to an injury. We sold our home in Washington and plan on touring and exploring the US for six months. Possibly thinking of relocating and starting up my business in a new dryer location. My wife is an artist and lives to teach kids and adults.
I'm a horse farrier since 2000. Knowledgeable about horses, homesteading, and raising food. My wife is an artist and volunteer grant writer. She volunteers for many local organizations.
We have a small white wire haired dog of some sort. He was a found on the street in Colorado and adopted from the shelter and brought to Washington by my father in law. He is homely but cute and endearing. He puts up a front at first meeting but is sweet after and attaches himself to people quickly. I thought coyotes would have taken him as soon as he moved to my property eight years ago but he survived. He survived our 17 year old dog and our heeler that was accidentally killed by a horse. He is adored by our kids and many people that have spent a little bit of time with this peculiar little dog.
We are new to boondocling as a family
I'm originally from Virginia but moved to Washington in 1996 while in the US Coast Guard. We have lived on ten acres on the beautiful key peninsula since 2003.
