We are retired full timers and have been living our dream since 2016. We are both in our 60s. Vivian is a retired RN and Dennis a retired business exec. Our 2 children are both in their 40s and have given us a total of 3 wonderful grandchildren. During the past 12 months, we have traveled from SW WA, down the west coast, across the south, up through Alabama, TN, etc. to PA, across to Maine, all over New England (Fantasy caravan tour) and down the east coast to the southern most point in the continental US in Key West. Now we are heading to a number of rallies and conventions, the upper peninsula, and then heading back west where we will meet up with another Fantasy caravan in Idaho for a two month trip to Alaska. We enjoy visiting as many presidential libraries as we can fit into our route. We really enjoy meeting people who share the love of travel, both domestic and international. We have done extensive international travel and decided we need to now focus on our own country. We have been active Rotarians until we hit the road and have withdrawn from the club until we settle down again. Dennis is a Ham Radio operator and enjoys his hobby from our coach. Vivian enjoys scrapbooking but has found it challenging to spend much time on that hobby while on the road.
We have two Havanese dogs, Mocha and Macchiatto. They currently travel with us but will be having a trial period of living with our granddaughter this next summer.
So far, we have enjoyed a few wineries through Harvest Hosts and one trip to Quartzsite. All have been great.
We grew up and worked in Oregon until 1997 when we moved to Battle Ground, WA. We had a large home on 2.5 acres that we sold in 2016 after holding an estate sale to empty the house. When we go "home", we stay on the property of our son and his family in Battle Ground.
