New to RV. Long time solo camping traveler. Last since my retirement in 2005 I have accumulated, 500,000 miles, 1200 to 1500 nights, mostly remote West.
I completed a hovercraft summer of 2017 and in September made a solo trip 822 miles from Kansas City to Davenport, IA. Possible the longest unsupported solo hovercraft trip.
I am a pilot with 4500 hours over the last 52 years.
I have bought a Casita and have a traveling companion.
Good mechanical skills, ( if duct tape or WD-40 does not fix it, it may not be broken), some electronic skills. I can probably solve the problem, it may not be pretty nor fast the first time. I have had a computer since 1979. I am a martial artist, ( rifle, pistol, logistics and nbc weapons) but those skills are perishable and have kept only the basic skill levels up. I was an adjunct Biology instructor for an University.
We currently have a smaller (pocket) Airedale that is learning to travel with us.

Really enjoyed sharing/exchanging points of view with Mkiester. Has myriad travel experiences that delight me as a host. Otherwise a quiet and unobtrusive guest.
This guest shared his travel and life experiences with us, a real treat to hear entertaining encounters with fellow travelers. Gregarious, yes, but a very quiet guest. :)
Very pleasant, congenial and quiet couple who stayed for one night. We enjoyed our brief visit; they are welcome back anytime!
Mkiester was a pleasure to host. We had a nice visit and conversation by the river with other boondockers that Mike hosted with popcorn. They were interesting and Mike has had plenty of experience boondocking. They will be welcomed for a return visit.
