I moved from Illinois to Florida 10 years ago, and I love it here! I've been a teacher all my life, and I still work a little in music education. Traveling has been an important part of my empty-nest life, but I've only recently jumped into RV ownership. I've been involved with vacation rentals for 10 years, and now I'm ready to share my wide open space with other RV owners.
I have a background in music and community theater. Fiber arts are something I enjoy; sewing, knitting, weaving, and silk painting. I also love to cook, bake, and garden. My farmgirl background has led to a love of nature and living in the country.
I have two cats, but they prefer to stay at home when I travel.
I am new to camping, but I expect that my favorite places to boondock will be in the woods somewhere.
My original hometown was in Central Illinois, but now I live near Polk City, FL.
We appreciated our two night stay at Park in the Pines. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our conversations. A great place for us to relax and rest up.
We would definitely stay here again.
We went back for a repeat stay and found staying twice was twice as nice! Great hosts!
Our host greeted us out front (it’s hard to find the correct gate the first time on a busy street) and was very welcoming. The spot is surrounded with tropical trees. We stayed two nights and rode the Van Fleet bike trail. Saw 4 gators off bridges. I would have enjoyed meeting Sally, but she was off at Sisters on the Fly. A fun-loving couple...
These folks were so awesome we are going back next week for seconds!
Enjoyed our 1 night stay. Friendly people, beautiful surroundings and good conversation. Would stay again if we’re back in the area.
The host was kind and greeted me and helped me park. The drive is right off a busy highway so it's a little tricky to get in. Not much room to turn around but a nice wooded atmosphere once you get in. The host is gracious to offer anything you may need while staying there. Thank you
We stayed for one night and had an incredible first experience with a Boondockers Welcome host. Sallycampbell6 was very accommodating, accepting our request day of and providing us a very warm welcome with friendly and entertaining conversation. Highly recommend staying here!
Lovely stay at park in the pines. Super hosts! Great "rails to trails" bike path in the area.
We so enjoyed our stay with this host they were so inviting and accommodating. Spent two day here experiencing the local attractions. Would recommend for rvs less than 10 feet tall.
Such a nice place to spend a night or two! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We would repeat. We also got 2-3 bars of T-Mobile 5G service.
Wonderful hospitable hosts met me on arrival and assisted parking. Site is behind a locked gate with power and water available! Convenient to FL I-4
Would certainly stay again
Like so many others, we were blessed to stay at Park in the Pines. Poor planning brought us in way too late and yet the hosts permitted our arrival and welcomed us warmly. We hope to stay again and arrive during daytime hours! Thank you both so much and hello to Yankee Doodle!
Park in the Pines was a quiet location on a gated property and the hosts were friendly and hospitable. Arrived at dusk and they came out to talk for a bit until the mosquito's drove us inside our respective accommodations. The site was perfect for my truck camper. A tow behind would have to be fairly short, doubt I could have made it around the loop with our 25' trailer. Would stay again if the opportunity presents itself.
Gracious, friendly, sociable people! We enjoyed our stay there with electric & water. We felt safe being behind the locked gate. The area was level, and it was very quiet back in the driveway. We definitely would stay there again. Thank you!!
It was a pleasure meeting our host - very friendly and accommodating. Nice property and had a great nights sleep.
We had a great stay here! Our hosts we're very kind and we enjoyed talking with them! Thanks for a the lovely stay!
The hosts at Park in the Pines were so kind and gracious. They weren't here when we first arrived, but a quick phone call got us in the gate (great security!) and hooked up to electricity. Our hosts arrived by the time we got our slider out and all settled in. We had lovely conversation and even got to meet their polite and charming grandson. This was a delightful first experience for us using Boondockers welcome and I recommend it for others with a suitable rig.
Thank you for having me for one night at your place. Very safe and comfortable, and my dog thoroughly enjoyed playing with Yankee the Aussie doodle.
Park in the Pines were delightful hosts. Easy to pull through wooded area. It is exactly as advertised. Definitely the place to stay !
Very gracious hosts. We appreciate then accommodating our schedules!
Really enjoyed the visit. Host was very helpful in parking rv to hook up to electric. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the area. It was my first time using BW And I am so glad I joined!
Sallycampbell6 was a great host. It’s a nice secure place to stay. A place we’d love to stay again.
Really enjoyed our stay surrounded by a peaceful tropical garden. We especially loved our visit with the hosts who made time to spend an evening that was filled with lively conversation. The sun came out and warm weather returned while we were here. Could not have asked for a more perfect stay.
A bigger rig could be challenging. 25 ft length will work. Longer tall rigs would be better suited to pass on meeting this nice couple. There is a dump station just down the road . Host may have info needed. Thanks again
Nice couple ,very helpful . We did not get to visit much . Host had camping plans herself.
Our hosts were - once again - as gracious as ever. Enjoying these two warm & engaging people last year inspired us to come back to catch up on our respective 'journeys'. This time around, we learned of some delicious eateries and food specialty locations in the area. Our dog loved playing with their doodle. Highly recommend - again - this BW Host.
We had a great time with our hosts. We talked a lot, had a lot of pleasure. They were very welcoming. We arrived like stangers and leave like good friends.
Was a beautiful and peaceful location. Would recommend stopping by if you are ever in the area.
Host was very friendly and helpful. Location is close to I-4 and depending on traffic close to Disney.
Sally and Len are amazing hosts, comfortable location, accommodating, fun conversation, you can tell they really enjoy hosting.
Driveway can be challenging for larger vehicle. They are off a fast road, we had a challenge locating their driveway as Google Maps leads you slightly South of their driveway. They have a mailbox with red reflecting tape that helps allot, especially at night.
We spent two nights at Sally'S place and every moment of it. We had very intersting conversations.
Thank you again for your hospitality
Mado
...very nice. Thanks again. Best wishes always. Russ & Su - Casita Possum Trot, New Bern, NC
Very happy to meet Len and Sally, and they were most gracious and welcoming. My rig is 25 feet, which was fine. A bigger rig could be challenging.
Our hosts were most helpful and generous. We stayed there on both shoulders of a week at Disney World. They are both a wealth of knowledge as they've had much experience with Disney. Our stays with them was very good. Thanks Much, yall.
We pulled in during a. Day Lon r.ain storm and found safe harbour here! Sally and Len were were wonderful hosts and great to share stories with. Len gave us great pointers for visiting Disney and we promised to return to do so!
Thanks to both for a great experience
Beautiful place. Good practice though for parking the rig. Great hosts
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet these hosts. They went above & beyond!
We so enjoyed our stay and great visits with you. Hope you can visit us some day (in the summer) when it is not -40F. Little tricky getting out of the yard, but the old farm boy, with Len's help, gotterdun! (LOL).
These boondocker hosts were great. We were able to find a cozy spot in a corner of their circular driveway to park. They suggested several restaurants ( which we tried, had two delicious meals) as well as a nearby bike trail which we tried out. My husband even played stick ball in the driveway with their grandson. It was a delightful stay, if were are ever back in the area we will definitely visit again
Private and convenient location, thanks a bunch!
Sally and her Partner, Len are remarkably gracious hosts. Their beautiful property is a perfect haven for transitioning from one RV campground to another. Our dog ‘Woody’ had a great time with their doodle, ‘Yankee’. We had a delightful time with them, sharing travel anecdotes along with past and recent family stories. We are excited to plan to return later this year when our travels bring us back into the Polk City area.
Pulled in after a long day to the warmest greeting and easy hook ups. We only met Len because Sally was camping herself, but what a treasure Len is! We had a great time getting to know each other and hope to someday meet Sally! All we can say is THANK YOU!!! Special memories that will last forever!
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and spending time with Sally and Len! Very nice and quiet place to stay. We will make sure to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!
